Yesterday, 24th - my wife did take her ride out of the storage for a spin & and last minute Xmas shopping.
Apologies to all, this is gonna be car only - no IH this time. Although I was wearing the IH WT jeans…
my wife and my father-in-law did most of the restoration work themselves. Some of the parts are not original anymore: dashboard, seats, electrics, special paint job, etc.
They are still looking to get the original bumpers 2nd hand, but they near impossible to come by in the US. My wife is debating shipping the car to Berlin next summer (joining her Fiat 500) and fixing the rest over there… -
So, here's the plan:
Tomorrow we'll take the truck down to Mexico. One stop in Redding/Corning ,Ca. and another one in Mexicali before we arrive in San Felipe, Mexico.
If the traffic is on our side we plan to have a quick store check at Self Edge LA and Rising Sun (if they have the store open).
I will take pictures aplenty, but I might not be able to update on a daily basis. (Furthermore, I will post today's pictures together with the next update.) -

Mother-in-law wanted family pictures taken, so we went out to Vancouver Fort in the morning to meet with the photographer. It was damp and cold…
Maybe I'll post one of the final shots once I get them.
We needed a coffee afterwards supporting the local business - in one of these non-descriptive malls that seem to make-up America…

Early morning
On the way through the LA region - we had the time to stop at Rising Sun Jeans - unfortunately, Self Edge LA had to be pushed out until next time…

I ended up buying this style in un-sanforized cone denim:
