Yes, footscape wovens are an aquired taste. I personally like them. Very comfortable out the box….

I passed on the 3's becos I got them when they came out 3 years ago in the pack ( i may change my mind), just brought these Cool Grey XI's from my mate DS US 11, so I pulled out the SJ and Bred XI's for a group shot. Waiting for the Concordes coming out 23rd Dec.
Yep the XI's r one of my fav's but I cant wait for the White Cement VI's (got a pair sussed out with my local FL), my holy grail even if its a retro.

Lando, how do you like the 3's, I heard the quality is crappier than the last Retro, and they priced them a tad higher too.
And idk about them WC IV's, I gotta see them in the flesh, the grey looks a bit darker.
And in Petee's behalf, he wears a size 9.

I mean as far as quality is concerned I do not have much to compare it to as the only other pairs I own is the OG as well as the Mocha Retro and I have not seen them (buried in storage) in years. I love the new ones. I bought them to rock so to me it makes no difference. The price of Jordans has steadily increased year after year just like most things. These things are going to take a beating from me in this next year of our lord, 2012. Evo shots will be posted for all those who are interested.

Mocha's, dope, every pair I find, has crazy yellowing, I'd like a pair that's clean so I can yellow them myself, haha.

Yeah I mean, if you are going to wear them then buy a pair. I got them when they dropped while in SF so I payed retail. Not sure I would pay more than $225ish now. As for the Mocha's, the midsoles crack like mad and they yellow easily. I highly doubt that even if you did come upon a deadstock pair that they would be free of yellowing. Comes with the territory as I am sure you are aware…

ahhh… mocha 3's. i remember asking my mom to not get me those and buy me the original air griffey GD 2's back in the 6th grade. (2001) hahaha. damn, still wish i didn't ask it, but i still loved those griffeys.

griffeys were never my cup of tea bu I certainly remember being fond of looking at them! Crazy that you were asking your mom about those when I was in High School? I just dated myself.

it's ok, i have always had an affinity of hanging out and getting along better with homies that are older than me. i think its a combination of being in the know early and my drinking tolerance. haha.
and lando, of course i had to ask mom, there were only so many birthdays and x-mas's that could bring only so many sneakers. Recently (last year) picked up the retros and they were no where near as comfortable, but thats the case with most all nikes these days.
