nope i don't. i think they aren't really made for that (despite advertising :-X) & have heard waaay too many stories from folks with quality control issues
pretty boot yes, rugged er. . . . ahm . . . .
Granted, I have only used mine for six months, but they have been my everyday beaters and have kept up wonderfully so far. Ill get back to you in a few years;)

So far so good with me as well, been
Hiking in mine several times. I did have a problem with my 1st pair and Alden fixed it immediately. Maybe their service is different when you buy directly from an Alden store. When I received my 2nd pair I asked the store manager if these were strictly made for looks instead of use. His reply was they are work boots beat the hell out of them. -
joints i like & would be happy to baby & walk around the block with:
& kind of pretty for me, but i would just to have a dressier pair:
i love images & this makes it easier for me to see them in one place

Think I'm getting a pair of longwings for spring just need to figure out color. I was really in love with the natural but not so sure now.

Went crazy today with Alden's…gotta tell someone. I have gone all boots and discovered how great Alden's are. BUT they are difficult to find the right last, the right leather in your size.
I had never looked on ShoeMart so today I went online and scored a Ravello cordovan wingtip boot with welting....what a score..the perfect color for this boot.
Then I went to mouldedshoe website and they had just put up a boot in brown chrome excel with a perforated cap in modified last. Called immediately and had them hold the 12...then in a cab to pick them up..The modified last is totally the bomb....my feet are in heaven.
Now...I feel better getting all this off my chest... -
which pair you grab?

Unionmade just got in like 5 make ups…

If I'm a size 12 in let's say vans, what size would I want tO purchase in a pair of Indys? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
I take a 11.5 in Vans and took an 11 in Indys when I had them. I would say you should go with a 11.5. I am sure some others with more experience/ pairs could help.

My advise is to get yourself measured on a Brannock device to know your correct size and width, your average Footlocker or Sports Authority and so on will have such a device, then go 1/2 size down for your Indy's (they are on a Trubalance last) …

I'm a 12 vans old school and a 11.5D fit perfect in the Alden 405.
