lax, you should try shooting film. A quality Nikon film body can cost relatively nothing, you've already got a lens, get a few spools, a daylight tank, some tri-x and D76 and you'll be in like $150-$200 and it's loads of fun. I'm not saying sell your digital but film is a fun change of pace and will make you better.

actually I have a film camera but its completely broken haha the shutter wont release and is stuck at the top. I have to get it fixed cause I really want to use my film camera again. Only thing I would have difficulty with is getting the film developed as I have no clue where I would be able to get it developed.

shoot B&W and do it yourself, it's very easy and hella fun. The creation of the image from start to finish is very satisfying. Most of the process can be done in daylight, only thing requiring dark is getting film from canister onto reel into daylight tank. Can be done at night in a dark closet or you can even get a changing bag and do it all in the light.

Thanks Cris. Yeah, when pixel peeping there's a lot more read cause in LR I only desaturated all the colors except for red. I can go back and fix it but I'm too lazy 😛

Thanks Rafa, I really appreciate it :D! Where are your photos man?! I always look forward to seeing what you have in store.

Here's one from today, self-portrait but not sure if I'm liking the angle I'm at and I don't ever like seeing myself in pictures lol.

I made it large! (or tried to xD)

Last one's ace! The natural light from the window is awesome and I really love those blacks. The black borders really underline the movie feel. And btw: while a lot of people here and on SuFu are not fans of those borders (yeah, I'm always lurking), I totally get where you are coming from, man. Props for sticking with it. I don't know if you have done that yet, but I'd love to see some really wide crops from you, like 2.35:1 cinemascope style. 😉

Wow thanks a ton :)! Well I am sure a fan of that cinema looks and I think I'm improving every time I try, but I'm still not there yet! I edited this pic for you though, not sure if it works especially because the color is somewhat lost but even so I think it looks pretty cool.

the 2nd kitchen pic looks somewhat better to me and I really like the new set as well.

What lens were you using btw?

                                        got another question:
I haven't searched for the answer yet but thought I might ask directly in here 🙂 are there some L-zoom lenses or just with fix length?

thinking bout selling my lenses to cop THAT one lens…
