from previous experience, i do believe it will be close to this version, but you know . . .

True, we will have to wait. Just saying, that the previous SH 08 was very small for the tagged size, so it could be, that the new ones run similar to the current/actual measurements of the other shirts and thus would come with different measurements. Time will tell.

understood. i'm wide as well & can relate. i do know that the works crew do sometimes modify an exisiting product to make the fit better (example IHSH21 & IHSH 46 you would think they are the same, but as of the writing of this the 46 is a little bit more fitted than the IHSH21)
a great option would be to subscribe to this thread & to fill out the product request form so you will get word once these land & can get all the dirty little details.
the devil would need a super black shirt. makes total sense

It is absolutely softer than it was. I rarely take it off. It has creased-to-fit my body. Especially since the upper arm is roomy, my whole arm has started to take combs.
The most remarkable thing is they way it gets shiny in the most worn areas. Its starting on the collar, the pockets, and the cuffs right now and spreading. Pics soon. I just soaked the 45 and it feels lightweight compared to this, I've gotten so used to the 08.

Great, this means I might start to wear mine more often (you know I wear my Sh 27 most of the time at home), but as it's getting colder and I need my Sh08 to be more comfy, I might switch to the stubborn black beast.

Wanted this IHSH-8ss for months, but it's been extinct here and at selfedge.com (my English speaking options), so I decided to try navigating the waters of Global Rakuten.
Ordered a medium last night and confirmed it this morning. We'll see how it goes. On the upside, the Yen is weak against the dollar, so I got a very good price. On the downside, returns are probably impossible if it doesn't fit.
) and I often have problems with shirts getting too long if I want them to fit shoulder/chest-area. And I suspect it would be difficult to find a local tailor that can alter such a shirt easily without botching it.
