IHSH-51 - Ultra Heavy Winter Flannel Westerns - 2011 Edition
-
Hey, I'm new to Iron Heart (and Japanese sizing) and I have a quick sizing question. I recently bought an OriginalFake flannel and it was 45 in the chest, but it fit like spandex. I was thinking a xxl or xxxl for this shirt. I'm 5'10" and weigh 200. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

welcome Mike, these shirts aren't here yet so all just guessing until Giles can measure them himself
though you can see last years heavy flannels here

sizing of these likely to be similar -
I'm just looking for an idea because I plan on buying this as soon as it drops. Regardless, I'm going to have to try on a suggested size to be fully sure. It would suck if I got a xxxl and it ends up being way too big.
PS I know the rules on askng about sizing and fit prior to Giles getting them in hand. I probably should have worded my initial post a little different. -
Im just going to buy one from IH UK and hopefully it's the correct size, if it isn't, I'll return for the correct size. I've been watching the forums and it seems like all the good stuff sells out instantly in all average sizes. Giles mentioned earlier in this thread that this particular shirt has a ton of request forms in already. It seems like sleeping on the hottest IH drops is not smart.

G, when these arrive would it be possible to take multiple macro shots? I am looking for evidence that these are as thick or thicker than the past heavyweight flannels. Maybe a side by side with one of the old ones? Thank you and sorry to create more work for you.

If you want these shipped out before we go to Japan, no…..
Doesn't matter to me. I am still undecided. Just looking for a little push.

I'll do the best I can. But tomorrow we get 3 new shirts in 2 colours each. We leave for Japan at Sparrows on Saturday. It is going to be full on mayhem. And that's if the shipment does not get delayed until Friday (we still have to negotiate Customs). If there is a delay the next sleep I will get is on the plane…...

So, here is the gig on the fabric.
It is exactly the same weight and construction as last years Ultra Heavy Wight Flannel (IHSH-32). The only difference between the 2 fabrics is the pattern. The weight is approx 12oz.
The fabric may feel slightly different as the end result of the weaving is also dependent upon how the loom is behaving on the day the fabric is woven.

Might just have to ruin someones day.
Also, they look really soft like the IHSH-32. Less rigid than the Heavyweights of old. Am I correct G? Based off of you seeing and handling the samples.
