I take a US9.5 in Iron Rangers should I go for the same of stick to my usual US10?

I love my Russells but the need a resole and the crepe sole will be awful through the winter.  So the Red Wings come in and I can wear them through the winter and send my Russells back for a rebuild…....Perfect...

Question about red wings:
I'm thinking of picking up a pair of 1907s soon and I was wondering if these would hold up well in the winter. Would the soles slip on the ice or no?

Other than boots with the metal teeth on the bottom, I've found that everything slips on ice….

I have the 1907's, they wouldn't be good for ice/snow. They do slip and they're not insulated so they'd
be cold for winter weather.

and 8E fit me perfect :).  I was a bit worried due finding plenty of size down 1/2 size advice on these shoes but I have discovered the size down advice doesn't work for something with an E width.
