Leviathan… New album out in November, can't wait... In the meanwhile, a very randomly chosen song from "Massive conspiracy against all life"...

Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) must of had a huge influence on "Heritage"

I'm not sure if he produced Heritage.. Sounds like it though..

I dig what Tesseract does, but I have to say that born of Osiris is quite unlistenable for me…

                    Haha just my opinion.

Hey, everyone has theirs :p Tesseract is pretty damn good. They are more of my mellow out music - they are imo like the heavy rock that just jams. They aren't too hardcore and its mostly clean vocals.

I never though I would be listening to BOO but to be honest after a while they grew on me and they are so insane. Cameron Losch (the drummer) is probably one of the better drummers out there. I love any type of music with weird timings and fast beats.

They pretty much invented that polyrhythmic style of metal..

^^Yup! Meshuggah blows my mind listening to them. Honestly its so complex its like math. I have tried to play some of their stuff but it always ends up with me throwing my drum sticks across the room cause it is out of this universe and only robots can play that type of music.

I am pretty sure they invented the djent sound that a lot of bands that I like use.

Edit: Kinda sounds like TDEP they practically invented mathcore  😉

I prefer their older stuff, Back when they were completely nuts..

I've had the pleasure of seeing them live a few times.. I always have to pick my jaw up off the ground..

I think they have changed quite a bit over the years - actually a lot. They were crazy at first and still are now but they have also mellowed down a ton. I do like their new stuff but I do like their old stuff as well.

I am not the biggest fan of them though. Haven't ever seen them live but I fear if I did I would be crushed to death hahaha! Love that song though el!

Then theres also Norma Jean and I'm not a huge fan but this is my favorite song by them.

Honestly, I wouldn't know haha. That is only one song (unless you have heard the before). But the stuff you posted was before my time, I love the music I listen to though. I am always willing to listen to new music though - but for me I can't listen to converge.

Ever heard of periphery though? I am in love with them actually they pretty much got me into all the techical grove metal/rock.
