Sized up on the flannel & put it through the wash and dryer, fits like a dream now ️

I have been absolutely putting my UES tricotine through the wringer. About 2 months of hard daily wear, soaked once (probably should give it a good wash soon), but I sure think it's coming along nicely.

122 wears: 1 (pre)wash, 1st soak a couple days ago. Best pair of pants I've ever had and it's not even close.

Still trying to beat the indigo out of this tricotine. In and out of heavy rotation since October, wear/wash count is somewhere between a little and a lotta! Been really happy with it so far.

@jordanscollected that's one of my favorite parts. It's certainly an interesting fabric!

@RobeOfTheMagi yes. I avoided it at first, thinking slimmer cuts might be better. But ever since trying 634 I'm not going back to anything else. well, maybe 1955 haven't tried that one yet though

@Oaktavia How's the jump back and forth between the XHSIB and the UHR going? Any thoughts about the two, one that's feels like it fades faster, is more smooth or rough or breathable, one that you're growing more affectionate towards, etc? Be curious to know which one of your darling twins you are loving more especially since you're wearing these two heavy fuckers in the heat.

Not mine, but there's a pair of these on Grailed right now (not my size unfortunately otherwise I'd snag them) and I can't help but marvel at how beautiful they are & I had to share them. Hope this isn't stolen valor!

0 wears. Too big for me, catch and release. This thing is great, but unfortunately I bought this in the beginning of my IH journey before I started truly knowing/understanding my measurements. I HOT washed it to try to shrink it down, but it's still too big for me. So check the measurements first to make sure it will work for you. I measured IH way. In my humble opinion this thing fits more like an XL.

Forgive me if this has been asked before but, what exactly makes indigo special? We have black because it's just indigo that has been chemically treated... But how come we don't have red, greens, yellow dyed garments that fade like indigo does?

From research I understand that indigo is a "chunky" particle that just kind of coats surface of the cotton fibers, and thus doesn't penetrate and can be worn away. But why aren't there other dyes that have this property, or are they just not feasible/affordable/desirable?

On a different note, Iron Heart has made so many different types of CPO shirts and the 21oz is the real OG denim, the core at the center of it all. I'm honestly a bit surprised this hasn't been a thing yet until now. A welcomed surprise all the same.
