Me and Jules (@Black Orchid) are running the Bath half marathon on 12th March 2017.
Back in July we raised over £1000 for the Rmh Bristol charity by running the Frome half and 10K which left us wondering which charity to raise money for in the upcoming Bath half marathon.
We had both read Sakura Haraki's story in Sakura Haraki - Haraki's Daughter's Cancer Account and the Cheer for P thread. Jules' mum sadly succumbed to Cancer in 2010 and we are certain that many of you have friends and family that have been touched by this disease.
With this in mind we decided the charity to raise money for in the upcoming Bath half marathon will be Teenage Cancer Trust; https://www.teenagecancertrust.org/
We have just under six months to raise £300 each and we are hoping that you good people of the Iron Heart Forum can help us to achieve our goals. Your donations are held securely by Virgin Money Giving http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/ until we have completed the Bath half marathon at which time the money will be transferred from Virgin Money Giving to Teenage Cancer Trust.

More training today which I found hard going however, when I reflect on the pain and discomfort that those touched by cancer, and their families, have to endure it puts the struggles of running training into perspective.

Cheers @Engineer. Where I live is very hilly so I try to mix up the route.
