If you have been following our OGL Story thread in this forum, you should read that we started focusing on belt productions a few years back and this is the belt that has been our most popular ever since.

The hand-dye process is done in-house onto a whole cowhide before we cut them into blanks. A lot of furnishing work needs to be done even before cutting. I can tell you that we spent years trying to perfect this hand-dyeing finishing.

In 2019, we finally managed to find the 'magical' mixture and techniques for a superior finishing.

Here is the last instalment for our Story. We have come to 2019, which was last year, our 10th year of establishment.

The main highlight was the autumn trip to Solomax shop in Tianjin. It was an opening of their new location, and we were invited as guest of honour.

Hi there, those belts on IH outlet shop are old batch which are smaller than the current ones.

For this Vintage1.75" width (outlet version), XS means that the 5 holes are true waist 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, measuring as per IH measuring chart.

Also in 2018, we participated twice in a Festival in Tianjin (China), hosted by the local store - Solomax, who is also a Ironheart retailer. As such, @Giles was also there for the winter show.

We love this most personally, because we like to collect old vintage clothings and wear vintage-inspired styles.

There are only few belt makers in the world producing Natural wide width (1.75") leather belts. If you have a large belt loop trousers, the belts you have will leave gaps in the loops, it looks awkwardly unmatched. But a properly cut wide belt will fit into these loops perfectly.

And we like to match this belt with an old Red Wing 877, imagining with a vintage-styled wide, high-rise trousers and maybe a workers jacket, layering a henley.

The fitting (this is a used version)

We like to match this Natural Double-Prong with a Rough-Out Engineer Boots. They perceive a very rugged style and added 'heaviness' with your flannels and jeans.

The fitting of all our 1.5" width belts is the most general.

What we like you to have is the ease of matching with your boots/shoes, as well as your dressing habits.

in 2018, we continue presenting in Tradeshows like CC SHOW and Selvedge Run. In this year, we put in full focus on our Wallet collections and upgrading of all our Leather Belts.
This effort of consolidating and streamlining resulted in a clear picture of our collections as well as their concept.

For the past 2 years, we started this streamlining project until not, we are adding new items accordingly into them. IH UK helped and played very important in this.

Every Europe trip, we will always try to include Gosport, normally the last stop. The reason is because Gosport is such a laid-back town that spending a few days there is consider as our Rest n Relax before flying home. That is of course, the great hospitality from Paula and Giles.

3rd part of 2017 is rather long as we presented in Berlin (Selvedge Run), Munich, Stockholm and Gosport. 4 cites in 1.5 week. Each city has got their own culture and we thoroughly enjoyed every one.

2nd part of 2017, we have some highlights from China tour - Beijing and Tianjin. The special part is we invited sign-ups and teach people how to make a leather passport holder in Beijing.

This week, we show the year 2017. It is 3 parts - Japan, China and Europe.

And yes, we showed at CC Show Japan again in March of 2017. Sunshine and good weather when we were there.
This year, we started to streamline our products into more organized collection. Kingsman, WX2 and Brave collections are some with distinct styles. Notably, Hand-Dyed belts went into experimental process with colours other than black.

During R'n'R, we travel around the Tokyo area. Particularly, the famous Tsukiji Fish Market. We had a good time and experience there.

Can't remember where is this. But it is beautiful.

Mentioned previously, we went around the world to demonstrate the use of our Les Travaux Leather Care products. This post will show 2016 Europe presentation at Selvedge Run, both Summer and Winter shows.

Summer Show

Another highlight of 2016, the demo of our own Leather Care products - Les Travaux. We travelled around for tradeshows adding this demonstration into our display showcasing. We did it in Japan, Europe. And here are some images from China demostration.

The showcasing of Obbi Good Label was held in Beijing, in a good friend's shop - Loft-6. One of the pioneer for bringing in brands like Real McCoy, Nigel Cabourn, Alden…  etc. During the showcasing, we invited Chinese fans to bring their leather goods, boots and jackets for us to condition in-situ, using our Les Travaux Leather Care products.

Ever since the introduction in 2016, Les Travaux has been a staple recommended Leather Care product from us.

CC Show was becoming our staple showcasing platform in these year. We exhibited in both winter and summer show in 2016. It was not easy for a small company like ours, especially manpower. But we managed to do it anyway, because apart from working, we enjoyed the company of people with the same passion - denim, vintage and handmade leather goods.

Following on is updates from 2016.

We moved again to a new location, with a front retail/showroom and back leather workshop concept.
We did most of the renovation and building ourselves, not because we are artistic, but to save money… 

But I seriously thought we did quite well.

Another important highlight in 2016 was our development and released of our new leather belts - Hand-Dyed Double-Prong Leather Belt.

This image was the first batch of production. There are some improvements since 2016, like edge detailing, underside burnishing and we have discovered the best recipe for the dye.
