  • RE: IH-555S-BLK - 21oz Black Selvedge Slim

    I can imagine that many of the steps in constructing a pair of jeans relies on sizing to ensure the materials are lined and sown together properly. Who knows really!? It's all magic to me.

    @Sugar:

    although it does look decent with skinny jeans.

    This is exactly why I think I like this last so much. Its sort of just hitting me now lol.

    But to be fair, Viberg has a huge selection of boots and lasts in so many styles of leather. If they want to have a few pairs that are strictly "fashion boots" then I'm all for it. It's not like they've dropped their style of boots that gave them the name they have. Regardless, the attraction of something like the service boot, in my opinion, is the fact that it's styled like a fashion boot but made in a much more heavy weight, durable construction. By no means is Viberg necessarily better than other boot companies like Whites or WESCO but the 2030 last is a good card to have in their deck.

    Ended up going with the 9's in color 8. They ended up being a perfect fit, actually one of the best fitting boots or pieces of footwear I've ever owned. I'm thrilled with the cut and finish of these boots. They're the nicest pair I own to date and couldn't be happier. The chromexcel has be a bit worried about how they will hold up top daily use, but I'm not planning on leaving them uncleaned or conditioned when needed. I've worn them to work for three days now and after a good clean all the marks and scuffs seemed to buff out easily. The leather's so greasy that it doesn't need any treatment, at least not yet. I've heard that the nasty creasing people complain about is usually a result of a pair of boots being too large so with the fit I've got I'm not worried about that at all. There's not one bit of imperfection on this pair of boots. I'm so impressed.

    Hey guys I'm having a horrible time deciding which size Service Boots to go for. My Scout Boots in 9.5 are perfect, but I currently only have a choice of 9 or 10 in the 2030 last? I'm a 10/10.5 in Clarks DBs, I'm a 10.5/11 in Vans New Eras, and a 9.5 in Viberg Scout Boots. I'm about a 10.5-11D according to the brannock system. The Scout boots fit great.
    I was originally going to get the 9s but I have a strong feeling that they will be too small. Thoughts? Any help would be amazing.

    Gave these jeans a nice warm soak after about a year of wear. Out of all my Iron Hearts, I'd say the 18oz in this cut is the most stubborn pair of jeans I own. But I love them and definitely enjoy the struggle of breaking them in.

    these bastards went through a few weeks of labour work at a masonry.
    It was hot as hell, but these things held up to some abusive conditions.

    Ah understood. I thought I had it bad when it came to the saggy jean/big thigh problem, but I dont usually need that much repair. My gf just got a sowing machine so I'm hoping to do some of my own darning at some point.
