I'm not quite sure where to put this post so I'll put it here.

Picked up my 634S jeans today. My first thought when picking up the package was "Wow that's pretty heavy for one pair of jeans." I took them out of the package and at first I thought Giles had shipped black ones by mistake. They are so dark. Tried them on and the fit is perfect. I've been wearing them all afternoon, and the are amazingly comfortable considering how heavy they are. I am truly impressed, my only complaint is that I can't afford to throw out all my other jeans and replace them with Iron Heart jeans.

Not sure if I should wash them or not, I like the look and feel just the way they are now.

I should be able to get some fit pictures later, if I do I'll post those.

I guess I did know that about the 501s, funny thing is Levis are the only jeans I have ever worn. Except to work, where I am so hard on my jeans that it makes little sense to wear anything but the cheapest I can find. I can wear out the knees in a few weeks.

I do commercial cooking equipment repair, and kneeling on those grit impregnated antislip tile floors is like crawling around on sandpaper. Between that and the nasty cooking grease staining them, my denim has a pretty short, brutal life. Needless to say I won't be wearing my 634s to work.

Wow what a friendly bunch! Hello from northern Indiana, USA. After trading a few emails with Giles I went ahead got a pair of 634S. Quite the upgrade from the 501s and 505s I have been wearing for the last few decades.

Measurements look close, does anyone know how the fit on these compares to the 501s?
