yo_mj cool to see you around and still killing those. How much do you want another pair eh?

    Been a minute since I've been in here. Had these two pairs of sr's laying in the closet full of holes for a couple years and finally got them patched back up again. Wish I had 5 more pairs of these in the closet. Definitely the best fitting, most durable jean I've owned.

    ^How do you find the crotch is holding up? That always seems to be the demise of my pairs.

    Licorice Noose, it's pics like those that have me convinced I'm going to own a pair of these sooner then later, very nice.

  • RE: Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?

    I would love to see the typical heavy weight denim IH is known for, but with a heavily reinforced crotch. The crotch is the weakest point and redesigning/reinforcing would really be a step forward imo. If you get a hole in the leg you can usually get by, but a crotch blow out with your junk hanging out is pretty hard to work around. I realize this is a lot easier said then done, but it sure would be great.

    Nice sounds like a fun project. I looked at the pic for a minute and had no guess at all what it was. There is a few locals around here who race older corollas on the ice, looks like a blast. Hey, don't look a gift horse in a mouth, slow lift is better then no lift.

    @dave:

    I washed mine too.. They're nearly white in places. They got beat to crap in the washing machine since I didn't turn them inside out first. Oh well, it was going to happen sooner or later. I tried to get these pics as close to no bullshit as possible (at least on my monitor). The contrast is insane.

    ^ that pic represents everything great about IH imo,

    @yo_mj:

    My SR patch is unstiching itself so I riveted it.
    ![](http://i42.tinypic.com/okn3tk.jpg[/img
[/quote]
smart! I've stitched that patch back on 4 or 5 times now, never thought to rivet it.
What's the project in the april gif? Jealous of that lift,)

    ^ lol, just own two dogs.

    Thanks for the comments guys. After the last round of repairs I'm in awe they are still wearable. I have a dream that IH will continue to make sr's in large quantities and deeply discount them so I can afford to wear them for the rest of my life, but that's just a dream.

    yo_mj, I'm doing a frame up build for a road course truck. I back-halfed it for some 12.5's in the rear and I'm just collecting parts at the moment. The orange marks are spray paint. It's a stupid game a guy I work with and myself play.

    Those look really nice a few pages back Dave.

    I finally got the crotch patched up on my old SR's. Transitioned back into wearing them at work. I've lost track but my best guess is 6ish months of casual wear and maybe 3 or 4 months of work wear.

    Those are looking incredible beatle. Is there anything in particular you are doing to attribute to the wear or is it just everyday life?

  • RE: IH-804 Double Knee Loggers Brown Duck & Super Black

    Quick update,
    Back to work for the summer, and back to wearing these daily. I would say somewhere around 3-4 months, worn 5 days a week. I gained about 15 lbs over the winter and didn't wear them at all. I tell you guys these suckers don't stretch. I had to do some serious weight loss to fit into these comfortably again. Definitely buy true to size.

    Sorry for the poor pictures,

    I wasn't expecting much if any fading out of these, but it turned out the other way around.

    This is starting to come apart pretty quick. I'll have to get a patch put in.

  • RE: Repairs & Modifications

    My sr's are starting to come apart in the crotch area. I'm really hoping to slow this down as much as I can.

    where they are at,

    What is the best way to go about this? A patch sewn on from underneath?

    Can someone point me in the direction of a good how-to-repair thread? I'm hoping to nip this in the bud before it gets any worse.

  • RE: Our Cars (dream or actual)

    @babyknight:

    Here's my car the day I picked her up from the dealership in December 2009 - done a few mods since then including an Akrapovic exhaust.

    Very nice. I didn't realize Akrapovic made exhaust for cars as well. I thought they were strictly bikes. Do you have any sound clips of it?

  • RE: IHW-02 - Wool CPO Jacket

    thanks for the push but I just can't afford one at the moment or anytime soon. Here's hoping someone buys the wrong size or decides they need something lighter and I can pick up a second hand one.
