RE: IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
After 2 years of being without good denim (gained a ton of weight, couldn't keep up with fluctuations) and 3 days of going back and forth with my bank card company about preauthorizing an overseas charge, I have copped these and couldn't be more excited.

RE: IHXB01 - Beatle Buster 21oz Japanese Selvage Denim Indigo
Need some advice as I am looking to purchase a new pair and don't really have a pair to measure that fits. I am coming from a size 34 666s that were fine in the waist but tight in the hips/thighs etc. I also have a 634s-raw size 33 that is fine in the thighs and while I can button them up, the top block is uncomfortably tight and like the 666 results in a plumber situation if I have to sit or bend over. I was thinking a 36 bb, which appears to be safe on paper via the IH measurements however self edge says otherwise - looks like it might be similar or even smaller than the 666s from their measurements. How fitted is the top block/thigh/waist in the bb compared to 666 in the same size? My other option was the currently OOS 634s size 35. I like the higher rise and slimmer lower leg of the bb so was hoping to go in that direction. Bottom like is I don't want to end up with another beautiful pair that I can't sit down. Bike, or walk up two steps at once in.

RE: Random Rants
You have given me the courage to do so, I'll update on his response.
Well he responded. It took a couple of days, I thought he had bailed, which would have been odd as he has a decent amount of feedback around the usual spots. He said that he definitely didn't notice it, and that he just fixes things like that by hand. No offer for restitution, but I didn't ask. Lesson learned to be absolutely anal when doing trades or working with used merchandise. I tend to believe he wasn't being intentionally misleading, but I know if it were me, I'd at least offer to cover some of the repair. Detroit Denim has the jeans now, they are redoing the hem and fixing the crotch.

RE: Random Rants
I would try to give the benefit of the doubt and contact him. Maybe he will offer to do Paypal over a bit towards the repair. There is Always a possibility it was an honest mistake it wasn't mentioned, or what's more the guy just may have not been as concerned with such things as you

RE: Random Rants
It's not a serious problem yet, and it shouldn't take much work to fix.
That said, I'd be ticked if someone traded those to me without mentioning the issue.
Yeah, I was upset when I got them to find the hem was not a chainstitch, but figured that was on me for not asking. Finding this failed stitch though is especially frustrating considering how the pair was presented to me. It's not as if the stitch is in a place where you could miss the damage. Sending em off to be re-hemmed and have that crotch fixed today. I have half a mind to contact the trader, but I don't even know what I'd hope to get out of him. I should have seen the warning signs, the dude was great in the negotiation phase and then got awfully strange after we had settled.

RE: Random Rants
Traded for these in "barely worn" condition. A little upset this was present. (Not a user here). Is this a grave issue?
Apologies for the crotch shot. -
RE: Music
Failure is back together? Are they recording a new album or just touring?
Rumor is both!

RE: IH-666S - The Devil's Fit Indigo - Slim Tapered
Justin, that's too tight imo. Better go 1 size up

I'm going to stick with them, I can promise they are more comfortable than they may look, esp with me hunched over attempting to take my own pic. One size up would fall off. Having said that I'm wondering if BB might be the perfect cut for me..
Edit - hot soak cleared up the waist issue. Thinking thigh will loosen up and even if it's minimal, I'm more than happy with the pair. Also first washing machine soak and no disasters, patting myself on the back.

Just when you thought a fit pic couldn't get any worse! Sorry I don't have a mirror and the only other guy home with me today is 2. Got my lightly used 666s today. Fit better than I had expected. The waist is a hair loose and thigh a tad snug at the top, but I'd say on the whole a very comfortable fit. Fabric is interesting too coming from the signature denim. Much less muffin top and plumbers surprise than 301s. Might try a soak to tighten the waist up a tad.

Joining the ranks soon as I am closing a trade to get a pair of 666S. My first IH venture in non-signature denim bottoms. Looking foward to posting some fit pics.

RE: IHV-07 - Indigo 17oz Selvedge Denim Zippered Waistcoat
I picked one of these up and absolutely love it as is, will be even more sweet as it breaks in and wears. I get compliments on this more than any other article of clothing I own.

RE: What's your favorite Beer?
Beer of the night is an old favorite.
It's crazy to me the trouble I had to go through to get this when I was deep into craft beer in 09 or so and was able to pick it up at a supermarket last week. For those that don't know, Pennsylvania has some archaic beer distribution laws. The loosening/bending/loopholing of those along with the propagation of craft beer has done wonders in the last few years. -

Jdl, 60 and 90 are solid. I actually love festina peche. Past that I'd have to look at my rb account because it's been four years but I found most of the experiment for experiments sake to not be for me. I get it, just not my style.

RE: What's your favorite Beer?
Drinking the entire speedway by myself was not the best idea, so for this week's drink, tonight I will be splitting a DFH 75 minute with a friend. Not typically a fan of Dogfish Head, but I recall quite liking this on tap. Hopefully my memory is holding true.

Dog father was infected. Figures for my first one back. I went to my old standby favorite speedway. Enjoying now.

RE: What's your favorite Beer?
I need a vendor that will ship to PA, who are you using? I had to make my bones with illicit trading due to our odd laws and (at the time) scant selection.
