Very normal since these were washed once they were Sewn up - the threads are designed to accommodate the shrinking denim, so don't worry about it - the bar tack will handle the stress.

Ahh, feeling less worried about exploding my jeans now! Will update when I've some fades on em. My folks thought I ordered some jeans made out of sandbags 

Got my hands on this pair of jeans last week and while doing a routine inspection of the crotch area, I noticed this.

Is it normal for the stitching to appear like that or should I start reinforcing the stitching. Hope someone could shed some light on this!
