      Thanks guys!

@davito those VMC 25th anniversary engineer boots look awesome. I really like that they are made on the 2030 last, not that I wouldn't like 2005 last but 2030 is still my favorite.

      hehe.. that's the plan @rocket!

Thanks madmonday & mijama! I've been really pleased with them. Buffalo & buffalo roughout is a great leather.

    • RE: Viberg - January 2014 Special Orders

I have absolutely nothing against SF group orders, but I find it a bit strange if Viberg will allow SF to still offer 4 people group buys from now on. Especially as Giles has been kind enough to arrange group orders for a lot longer than SF and for a price that is way cheaper for European customers (because of customs/taxes).

Personally I don't feel that there is a need to apply any wax/polish to shell cordovan after every 15 wear or so. I much prefer the color to age naturally. But then again, I'm not after highest possible shine. I only apply a thin coat of venetian creme once in a year or two. Other than that, I just brush dust / wipe dirt of after use (and keep the shoes in shoetrees when not using them).

      Thanks guys!
Heh, for me the monkey boots are the ones that I love the most from Tricker's (I've got 2 pair of those actually).

Details and some more pics of the PTB's.

      Model: Tricker's Robert
      Last: W2298
Leather: Mogano Shell Cordovan (the color is bit like horween #8, but perhaps a bit more brown than #8)
      Sole: Dainite sole
      Welt: Natural Barbour Welt

    • RE: Viberg

It is a bit confusing but I've understood it like this
"Guy" = Guy Ferguson (user name guyferguson @SF) // at least used to work for 4HS and now works directly for Viberg
"Fok" = LA Guy // part of SF staff and the person who arranges Viberg group buys (styleforum market)

I would have loved snuff roughout Boondockers on 2030 last & Dainite sole (2030 last because it fits so well for me and Dainite sole because I feel that rubber sole would be more true to the original style than leather sole + it is more suitable for winter). Anyway, I have no doubts that it will be a great boot which ever the final specs will be. It is almost a relief that the specs won't be identical to what I'm looking after on this one as I've already got two pairs of Vibergs recently.
