I don't post on forums much these days, but I wanted to share more details since I happened to come across your post.

When I originally bought the jacket in 2016, I DM'ed Giles for more details on the fabric. His reply is:
"It's sanforised and one washed.  Giles"

It is 21oz, as shown in the leather patch. I own a pair of 19oz Samurai S710XX, and I can confirm that the IH-7526j is noticeably heavier.

I never wore the 7526j as much as I initially planned as it's not cold enough where I live in California year-round.  I recently purchased this 13oz Momotaro Type II I've been searching for since I sold the 7526j. Its lower weight and lack of blanket-lining will make it more wearable for me. Can't wait for it to arrive!
