You might be disappointed with the BR sweat after having the strike gold sweat… It feels so flimsy compared to strike gold's material. Have you tried the real mccoy ball park sweats? they run about a size bigger than strike gold. They are not quite as soft but are about same thickness and they age really well. and they are prewashed so little to no shrinkage is to be expected.

Self Edge will be much easier and cheaper and faster to do an exchange with if you do get the wrong size. There is tons of info on how much FH denim shrinks, so you should be able to know before you wash it whether or not you have the correct size…

Oh really? I swear they had that 2 or 3 years ago… I guess I have to get it now.

Nice, I always liked that sweat shirt. I regret not getting it while I had the chance!

RE: The Flat Head
No clue. Tried them on and there was a little extra room in the waist so I bought them and washed them. I'm sure both self edge and rivet and hide sell these and have measurements on their sites.

RE: The Flat Head
I bought mine from self edge so I was able to try them on first so I knew what size I needed. Might be worth it for you to buy from somewhere that will accept exchanges if you don't get the size right.

RE: The Flat Head
Hey @Anothercaller , the 3012s use the Pioneer denim, same as many of Flat Head jean models… Information about shrinkage of this denim is pretty widely available. I'm usually a 32 in most brands, I went with a 33 in the 3012. The waist on mine measures 32". They have been machine washed many times. Hope that helps! Let me know if you need any other measurements.
One more thing, are you sure you really want this model? The fit is kind of strange. The taper is very strong. I don't really wear these anymore because of how much they taper. They don't look terrible or anything, and they are definitely not a skinny fit, but I wish they were wider fitting from the knee down. (This is like the opposite of a reddit post, "Guys does anybody know a tailor that can un-taper my jeans??") Anyway, definitely recommend some Flat Head denim, just be sure to check out all of their different fits. You can never go wrong with a classic straight cut.

Racing vest should be here tomorrow [emoji3]. Now the next item. Looking at the M65 Field Jacket the size Medium chest, length and body measurements look good but I'm worried about the sleeve length. Anyone with a Medium or Large want to take some full sleeve (collar center to cuff) measurements for me?
@veloaudio my m65 size medium: measuring in a straight line from center bottom of collar to end of cuff I get 33.5"; from center of collar to shoulder: 9.75", sleeve: 25.25"; shoulders, straight across: 19.25". Hope that helps,, let me know if you need other measurements. I will say that if the jacket fits you in the chest, it's very unlikely the sleeves would be too short. Its probably safe to go by the sizing guide on the tag. Its a great jacket!

@Bluegrass great fit on those pants! Ive been thinking about getting that map shirt, too. I already have the other two map shirts so it seems crazy to get another, but I have the mechanics trousers that use that same cavalry denim and I love it. Maybe it would actually be crazy if I didn't have all three map shirts?

@Anesthetist I have the tripper type II, the one with the white straps and the stripe lining. It's great! Nice size, convenient pockets, pretty sturdy…I really wanted the type III with the green straps and camo lining but by the time I finally decided to get it it was already sold out.
Also, just got the indigo garrison shirt yesterday, new favorite shirt. Best MF release in a while in my opinion. The fit is perfect, really cool pattern and killer fabric. I usually wear medium in MF sportsman shirts, went with a large in the garrison shirt. Measurements on MF site were accurate for pre and post shrinkage.

@davito nice collection! I have the ball park crew neck, the loopwheel crew neck and a couple of the midweight raglan sleeve crew neck, and I think the ball park is the best all around in terms of fit and fabric.
@nizzel55 You could wash and dry it for a little shrinkage but those are pre-washed so not going to shrink a ton. Just depends how you want to wear it. Go for size large if you want slimmer fit and want to layer the sweat under other stuff. Can't really go wrong either way in my opinion.

Nice. So many choices! Looks like you love those flannels. I can't seem to stop buying sweatshirts, running out of space for them…

@den1mhead we must see some pics of your closet. Just based on the recent activity in this thread, I'm guessing you've got a killer collection. Let's see it!

@den1mhead so glad the shirt arrived! Next time I'll find a faster method of shipping.

RE: (FitPics/ WAYWT) of Other Brands
Walking around today in Briones Regional Park. Funny face, MF cap, MF Sportsman shirt over Strike Gold crew neck sweat, MF mechanic trousers… Hmm maybe should have just put this in the Mister Freedom thread. -

"Doing my best Dan Bejar impression". Haha I was wondering why that shot looked familiar! Nice.

RE: The Flat Head
I got a RJB shirt from the Que Pasa sale a couple months ago, it had some discoloring/fading down one sleeve… Finally got around to taking care of it with some indigo dye.
Before:
After:
Then after a machine wash:
It's hard to capture the true color, it's somewhere between these last two, but the texture on this shirt is great and you can just barely see the red and black "windowpane" pattern beneath the indigo. I'm happy with how it turned out and I'm excited to see what happens after some wear and washes.

RE: The Real McCoys
That looks toasty. And it fits you perfectly. I already have too many sweatshirts but I am really interested in this one.

Nice Davito, that looks great! Is that the same fleece as the other Ballpark sweats or is it thicker?
