btw I've worn jeans practically my whole adult/ teen life but I've only recently found out at the age of 33 what "raw" is. like i always bought them washed and I just assumed the jeans were like "randomy" dyed instead of dyed fully and then power washed with fades.

An update to anyone's who is interested, sunning them in direct sunlight. for a few hours seemed to help.

@mikebarhoot I am not too sure which detergent it is! but the washing machine should be relatively clean. As in the smell is specific to this IH and not with other jeans

@neph93 It certainly smells much less to the severe degree of smell that thrifted clothes have. I washed them once normally before wearing once I bought them

@pechelman I use the denim setting on my Miele washing machine, I think it should have been fully wet before washing.

Does anyone know how many washes it takes before the smell fades away? Thanks all to those who have replied above and happy to be part of the IH family

This is after washing. I've done about 4 washes in a washing machine as per this post. There seems to be a scent to them still ( I wasn't sure if I noticed it at the start ) sort of an earthy scent? Post wash. Not sure what it is, can anyone help?
