  • RE: IH-1955-UHR - Ultra Heavy Raw 1955 Cut

    It's been a while friends. Here's a lazy update on my UHRs. @Appfaff mentioned them in another thread and it seemed like a good idea to show how incredibly this fabric ages. I'll be taking some proper shots ASAP. Until then, here's some quick phone shots of the age and fit.

    Easily 1300 days of wear and pretty sizable holes now, although those have been advantageous for the summer temps in Texas. They definitely need a third trip to Indigoproof now that they are trying to turn themselves into jorts via the front pocket bag blowouts.

    Continuing our Thanksgiving WAYWT, here's me in my IHSH-170 flannel helping to pulp persimmons that our family gathered together

    and @Appfaff in his IHSH-179 flannel while we were smoking brisket (and some cigars)

    Thanks for the kind words! Not sure about the next project yet. My two NF 32oz pairs still have a lot of life left in them but adding a pristine pair of Iron Heart pants would be a great addition. I've toyed with the idea of the 25oz but still not sure. I can't imagine a more interesting fabric than the UHR.

    I can confidently say that these are past 1000 days of wear, which was my goal. Here is my photo update.

    @Clint_D:

    Are those still the 32oz N&F denim in the pics?

    Yessir, they are ~150 days of wear. I figured they were a cool comparison against the IH black denim

    Accidentally posted in the SBG thread and got some nice schooling from @madmonday on the origin of this shirt I have. I had no idea there were three 08 versions. Here's some pics of my newly acquired armor.

    @madmonday:

    Think this is actually an 08 way before sbg or the snakeeyes 08

    Either way great pickup

    Love your unique style

    oops…should i post in a different thread? I didnt realize there was a different version other than the sbg and the ss. Pardon my ignorance but how can you tell and whats the difference?

  • RE: IHSH-08SBG - 16oz Super Black Fades to Grey Western Shirt

    After years of searching, reading through every page of this thread multiple times, and lusting after every other SBG IH product, I finally have my grail shirt.

    After meeting up with @Clint_D  during the Austin Meetup in November, he remembered me talking about wanting on 08 for ages. Thanks to him, I now have this stupidly heavy shirt, and I couldn't be happier to have bruises on my arms.

    @Matty123:

    I was just looking at the IHUK ihsh-62 indigo Measurements and noticed that the sleeve opening numbers look off. Here’s a screen grab

    I'm assuming the "opening" part should have been omitted. Those look like sleeve length measurements.

    We definitely did. Weather was great and it was a holiday so lots of pedestrians taking photos and making us feel like celebrities. Great fun.

    MariCar, I presume? If your tour guide's name happened to be Jake, we're old buddies from when I was in the Army.

    We actually went with a new company, TokyoKart, started this month. Yuji, the owner, was very kind and excited to have us. Gave us a free hour added onto our 2 hour package.

    However, I saw at least 5 other tours during my stay so very possibly crossed paths with him without knowing it.

    Freshly repaired by Indigoproof and I promptly took them to Japan and Singapore for some denim adventures. Not too many Japan photos yet (hopefully my friends took some shots) but here's a few singapore shots.

    Singapore humidity nearly killed me. Flip flops saved me.
