Ordered mine today. Now I have an Iron Heart jean jacket for every day of the week.

    • RE: IH-666S-PD - Indigo 14oz Money Denim Slim Cut

Got mine today, a tag 33 666. I must admit, I bought these without much investigation, a lot had to do with the 18oz claim in the title, but as I read after ordering I began to worry.
Generally, I'm not much on weights under 17oz, so it was a long weekend awaiting the shipment, figuring I'd be returning them. But…tried them on and fell in love instantly. Beautiful look and feel, and absolutely don't feel like 14oz fabric.
Plan to give them their virgin run tonight to an event I'm attending, but judging by the fact that I removed the tags and threw away the bags 5 minutes after having them on my legs, I don't think a disappointment is even possible, unless they stretch 2 sizes in 2 hours.
The fit is perfect as is, which usually means they're going to be good after a wash in a few weeks too.
      Glad I took the plunge!

    • RE: IH-526-SBG - 21oz Selvedge Denim Modified Type III Jacket - Superblack (Fades To Grey)

Mine arrives Monday. I opted for the 42, as my 101j and 9527j are both 42.
I guess the worst that could happen is more $ for a swap to an L.
      Fingers crossed….

I'm buying one of these today. Must have it. It'll be worth the divorce.

    • RE: Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?

I'd like to see the sleeves lengthened slightly on the 101j.
I stretched the sleeves on my 42, using water, weights, fans, and a bit of carpentry.
I now have 27.2" sleeves, and the jacket looks like it was custom tailored for me.

    • RE: Introduce Yourself Here

I don't know if this is place for it, but I have to tell you…the customer service at IHUK is second to none.
I've mainly dealt with Matt and Sam, and both have been simply amazing.
I felt welcome with my first question asked, about 6 months ago.
Lessons could be learned by some other companies.
Also have to say, in the USA I deal direct with Kiya at Self Edge, and he's pretty amazing and helpful too.
Thus far, my Iron Heart experience is a lot like a new family.
That's so rare, and so cool.

      Thanks for the welcome.
I may sell the size 44 101j, don't need two, and the 42 is perfect.
I originally wanted a size up for wearing a heavy sweater or sweatshirt underneath.
      A bit obsessive? Heck yes!
      We'll see.

      Hi all. E.J. Wells here.
I hail from Waterville, OH, USA.
I know. I'm trying to figure out where it is too.

Brand new to the forum, about a 1 year Iron Heart fanatic.
My name is Ed, my friends call me E.J. or Eddie.
Discovered Japanese denim about a year and a half ago, and haven't looked back.
I'm utterly amazed at the depth of what I don't know.
I live in Waterville, OH, USA, and I can guarantee you there aren't many Iron Hearts in my area, or any other Japanese made gear.
      I'm 6'1", 165 lbs., and old. I'll turn 60 in January of 2016.
I tried, but couldn't stop the clock from ticking.
Better late than never on the Iron Heart obsession.
In Iron Heart jeans, I wear a 32.
Thus far I'm the proud owner of:
      IH-633s
      IH-8301s
      IH-634s-B
      IH-555N
      IH-7301s
      IH-301s
      IH-666s-21
      IH-101j (42)
      IH-101j (44)
      IH-9527j (42)
