RE: Role Club By Brian the Bootmakerposted in Footwear
What a great thread, and bravo to Brain for the attention to detail - perhaps the finest in the world. Looking forward to seeing the engineer boots come into production. And a response in a few hours across the world by email - service and attention through and through…

Got a strong feeling you'd have to order a standard pair, then make the modifications…

Here are the pictures of my new White's. Ordered on 2/7, and received them 3/14.
White's Bounty Hunters
White's Cougars with Giles' favorite Vibram 2021 sole.
Is there a size difference between the two?
I`ve heard cougar is one half up recommended?
Love the BH`s!

Ah, that
s what causes the slight greenish tint, the aging causes some worn areas to brown, Ive noticed that on mine. Sp great to have boots that get better with age…Lovely original companions for denim! -

I
m a half size up to an english UK shoe, and 1/2 down from a RM Williams (though I wear the F and not the G width) , if that helps, but as I say, there is no beating a true fitting, as the arch support in the Whites in uncompromising if its not perfect, and the most comfortable boot in the world if its spot on. -
RE: White's Bootsposted in Footwear
don't white's get you to go through a pretty full on fitting process ie. sending in traces of your feet etc to ensure you get the right sized boots?
They did that to me and I got stuck with a boot one size too big. Damn annoying, and the next pair a half size down drowned me too, and that ended up costing me two pairs of boots. Fortunately the market for resale is good here, but nothing beats a fitting in the real thing. I`m afraid a tracing is always erred on the large size, as its easier to say "keep the boot and wear a thicker sock"…
