The burge family are a huge business over here and oddly they sold the Grant Burge winery and name etc but kept their vineyards and have started a new brand

It won’t happen as in freight it’s all about cost per delivery etc but ups to Australia takes a very long way round and then since ups don’t operate here they throw the last leg to the cheapest operator and most of the time are subcontractors who are useless
It’s a minor gripe that I understand you have no control over
Just seems silly to ship something from the uk to Europe then to the states at multiple locations and then to Australia it’s not you guys it’s ups

A part of the company I work for has a partnership agreement with a company that can work out tips via card that are given and distribute them across the various front and back of house staff, it’s quite a clever bit of tech and has helped one of our biggest customers from delivering a lot of cash once a week to various venues to be distributed and also cut down on the 2 full time staff to calculate it each week
I mentioned before that tipping here isn’t a big thing but the eastern states here are embracing it with more international visitors
20 years ago I was hooning it around d in this thing, the new pocket rocket is much more refined
Tipping is creeping in here slowly,When I was over in Sydney every bar / pub had tips turned on the card machine each time I just hit no, I stood waiting at the bar ordered what I wanted and the staff did their job of pouring it, that’s not tip worthy
BYO here there is always a corkage fee per bottle normally $10-$20 which is added even if the establishment doesn’t even touch the bottle they do provide the glasses and venue where it’s consumed
As for tipping not a chance when most of the time workers will be on late night or Sunday penalty rates and will be earning over $60 an hour
