  • RE: Wallets, Chains, and Reins

Looking for a wallet with chain for gift to working (welder) biker (age 30). Have a leather chain. He doesnt want something too long or fat, so mid with snap or equivalent. Want to stay under 150 USD. Ideas?

  • RE: WAYWT - The Hard Labour Edition aka "Working in your workwear".

Jesus, I remember laying one, no two, of these 25 years ago when I built my house. One around a pool, and then the patio. Then the big day came to to rent the masonry saw and cut the slate for all the coping on the pool and patio  wall. One day rental. We had pre-measured every piece. So it was just saw, saw, saw, while someone laid it–sometimes you would have to trim. About 12 straight hours. My forearm stared vibrating all over again, a life of its own, as soon as I saw the pics in this thread.  Beautiful job. And I can assure you, you will remember it (especially the years you adjust and relay parts...!)  -M

Bought from @Aries Samurai persimmon and leather vest and MF Drover. Really nice stuff.  A pleasure to deal with, and affirmation that the mail does work groovy btw AU and USA. Thank you!

  • RE: Samurai Jeans

Warm water in sink…add a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid. Let it sit for a few minutes.
Then agitate by hand, or use sponges on the area, like you would a dish....then, I hate to tell you this, throw back in the washer by itself and select medium load and add appropriate detergent, but not with jeans inside out, so the wear side is exposed.  It has probably already set....but that is your best chance.

  • RE: Bitten by the "INDIGO SNAKE"

@Jett Yes, Koufax. Hardcore Phillies fan here. Anti- NYC teams, -Boston teams, -LA teams, etc….BUT: I was at Connie Mack the night Koufax no hit the Phillies, and I always admired him (and Wills, and Willie/Tommy Davis etc, those were great teams).  Mays, Aaron, Pinson, Billy Williams, Oliva, Richie Allen, F.Robbie....those were the days, huh?

  • RE: FUN IN PHILADEPHIA - MEETUPS ON 30TH APRIL/1ST MAY

As far as names go, I am happy to have learned , at the fun event Saturday night,  that #ROman is pronounced not "Roman", as in the legions of old, but "R. O. Man". Thank you Paula and Giles for hosting this. And your gift box chocolates brightened my girlfriend's night. She says thank you and hi, and wishes she was there to laugh at us all.

  • RE: East Coast meetup and elsewhere

Maybe Michael at Norman Porter would be interested. Nice large work space. There is Rembrandts or Monks. Of course a hundred other places depending. In Ardmore, Tired Hands, perhaps upstairs at the original. Giles and Paula, I live 50 miles west in Chester Springs, about a 50 minute drive to Center City. You are welcome to stay, big house/property, lots of room and privacy. Or if anyone is coming from afar, let me know.

  • RE: Random Announcements

One of his @TrickHell points is that it matters who votes. When the large percentage of the vote is people over 65 or a small percent is people 18-25, and an even smaller percent is people 25-34….the people pander to the priorities of the voters rather than being accountable to the good of the whole.
