What a treat to get to whip out the IHSH-397 in June . Have also implemented the drying hands after washing on sleeve for crease setting. Works well.

SEXIH25 Indigo vs IHSH-292 CPOs
For most pictures, SEXIH25 on the left, 292 on the right. Except for the Frankenstein shirt below.
The SEXIH25 is probably a more visually interesting denim, with some of that kasuri look with more specs of ecru from the weft popping through. It’s more of a deeper, darker indigo than the vintage 18oz. Slubbier as well for sure.
The 1oz difference is surprisingly noticeable. The 19oz is definitely hefty.
I do love the vintage 18oz denim though. Hairier, lighter shade of indigo, and soft once broken in (as I’m sure SEXIH25 will be too, though pretty soft off the get go).
Here the 292 is on the left. My 292 is about a year old and I’ve put some decent wear on it, but no washes and it’s not particularly far along its fading journey.
Fit pics, because why not. I love the fit of my 292, ever so slightly roomy as intended and very comfortable. The SEXIH25 is a tiny but more snug all around, but hoping as it breaks in it loosens just a little. Both XL and measure similarly. SEXIH25 is about .25” tighter in all ways.
Excuse the face, I’m actually happy today .

Finally got my hands on my Indigo. Here it is in Lake Tahoe. Beautiful denim, great heft and a soft crunch kind of feel. When home I’ll post a 292 vs this guy, I read a comment earlier looking for a direct fabric comparison.
First IH CPO. Very excited to see how this one develops over the coming years. 6’0, 185lbs, 40 inch chest. Went with XL so that it can be both an overshirt/shacket. Sleeves feel a touch long but hopefully with some stacking they end up perfect. Love this thing.
The suspense was real with this one. Had to wait 8 days for it to arrive. Like many I felt right in between sizes - Large and XL. But given the measurements, felt my usual size (large) was more likely to work. XL measurements looked bigger than any shirt I own. Overall, the large is a pretty good fit, but I could use .5 inches more in the shoulder. Even with slightly tighter shoulders, I think it’s a keeper and XL would’ve been too big. Those who have had it for a few days, as it softens do you feel more give/space in certain areas? 6’0, 84kg/185lbs, 40.5 inch chest. Appreciate any thoughts!
As fate would have it, I unexpectedly found an XL in store this weekend, and it fit perfectly. No tightness in the shoulders and a tiny bit more breathing room. While the Large looks amazing, the XL is a lot more comfortable. A learning experience with thicker, denser fabrics to go up when in between sizes. This is definitely the shirt of the year and it’s not close.
XL vs L
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Highland Park store in LA. I’m a big fan of the brand so it was pretty cool. It’s a great store with a fully stocked collection. I ended up picking up their CD-1 jacket in 17oz indigo. Usually M/L in Freenote but the XL worked best for me. The denim has some great texture to it. I have a pair of portolas in this denim, and it really came alive after a wash. Definitely recommend this piece - looking forward to getting some wear into it.
@RobeOfTheMagi in case you’re still considering… I’m 6ft, 85kg, 41 inch chest. I’m between Large and XL in IH, depending on the piece. I have this exact jacket and went with Large. With the thicker lining and dense fabric, I think you’d appreciate a touch of extra room as opposed to being too fitted. I’ve tried Mediums in this jacket and find they’re very snug on me. I am a bit bigger than you but I’d lean Large.

@Mizmazzle if you don’t report that the “real stuff” is vastly different from a canned airport pour, I may delete my forum account
Only just now discovering the guitar thread! This is awesome. Some beautiful guitars in this community. Figured I'd throw one of my favourites on to this thread. It's a Pre-War Guitars Co. Model D. If you haven't come across PW they starting making new guitars to try and closely replicate the experience of an actual pre-war Martin, Gibson, while including some modern additions like a truss rod etc. I got mine in 2021 after waiting around 20 months to get it. It's a lightweight, loud, and punchy guitar, absolutely love it.
Just read through the entire thread here - this shirt is unreal. Generally speaking, what's the sizing advice with it? I'm usually either a larger L or smaller XL. I have the IHSH-33, 288 Kersey, in Large, and 292 CPO, 21oz 397 and 526PJ in XL. Will obviously wait for the chart to be updated, but would appreciate any advice in general. Current chart I'd lean L.
Any Watchhouse fans? One of my very favourite bands. From Chapel Hill, NC where I went to university. Amazing instrumentation, songwriting, and harmonies. They have a fantastic catalogue. This one from their new album released a couple of weeks ago. Awesome song.
@Ikeaparty haha yes, that was I.
Last month, I saw Jason Isbell twice a week apart in Vancouver, B.C. and Portland, OR. An incredible artist - quite possibly the best songwriter of his generation, and an unbelievable guitar player. He's my favourite artist, so it was a pretty good week. Very jealous of @Mizmazzle seeing Sturgill recently. Can't wait until the opportunity arises for me.
Is there any way to find a sizing chart for a particular item from a previous run? For example, I got my IHSH-288-IND from the June 2022 restock, and I’d love to be able to look at that specific sizing chart. Thanks.
Bit of a random one but hoping someone can help! I absolutely love this jacket but I don’t love the way the drawstrings hang out beneath the jacket. Can anyone recommend a specific knot that could wrap up the string nicely and not show anything beneath? Or can the string be taken out altogether?
@stichdown-shell @Heavy_blue @Ross thanks folks!
