Thanks for the info guys. The peacoat looks great on you Joule! I ordered it in small and I am really looking forward to try it on and wear it. Can't wait for winter to come now…

  • RE: IHW-05 - 32oz Melton Wool Pea Coat

When I get home I am going to measure an old jacket and compare with the sizing table. But still, I like to hear what those who alreday have this peacoat think. I am 5,7 (175 cm) tall and have a 38" chest. Should I go for small og medium? I like a fitted/slim look, but I need room for a thick sweater. Any recommendations?

60 % of the time: 666 XHS. It is supposed to be summer here in Oslo, but I have no problems wearing theese most of the days (not sure if i should insert a smiley- or frowny face here).

The rest of the time is divided between IH B01, 3 Sixteen SL 100X and Nudie Grimm Tim. Plus Levis X Nike 511 Rigid for skateboarding.

    @mclaincausey:

    Norwegian I think

Yeah, Norwegian. Swims started out making modern galoshes and now they have mixed galoshes with shoes, hence the look.

Not sure whether i should post my pictures here or in the standing denim thread, but here I go. After about two moths I decided to wash my 666. A contributing factor was that I have started to bicycle to work (sweaty, smelly groin). I did not expect that they would stand up on their own after a wash.

So far I am very happy with my 666 XHS. They now feel very comfortable and have broken in nicely. No great fading to speak of as of yet, but I really did not expect that after only two months. In hindsight i should have ordered 1 size smaller, but that is because I have lost some weight lately due to cycling and more skateboarding and exercise.

    See that last tour?  Sick…

Yeah. I saw them play at the Øya festival in Oslo. Stood in the first row from the stage. They were great!

  • RE: Anyone here play video games?

I was kinda disappointed with the Xbox One presentation. I want a console that focuses on gaming, not a multimedia console.  In addition the current X360 has nowhere near as good an offer in Europe when it comes to mulitimedia as it has in the US, and I suspect it will be the same with the new XBO. Anyways, I have an old laptop that works great for mulitimedia.

And I have absolutely no interest in a need to be always connected to Kinect (kinected?) Xbox.  Just give me a good hand controller. I am old school dagnabbit!

There is also the problem that games are tied to your account and if you borrow a disc from a friend you have to pay (full price?) to play it on your account. I am sure Microsoft has made it so to discourage second hand buying and selling of games, but it’s just not gamer friendly. And then there is the need to at least be connected to the net at least once a day…

So, I’m definitely going to buy the PS4, which seem to be a much more gamer oriented console. I might buy the XBO if it has some must have exclusives, like Mass Effect. And I’m not even considering the Wii U.

On another topic: I agree with derivative666 and Qinhan. Play Bioshock Ininite!

  • RE: IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

During the weekend it was time to clean and tidy up the roof terrace and the area around the block I live in. Wearing my new 666 I volunteered for the jobs that required a lot of bending down and sitting on the knees. We were at it for five hours on Saturday and it was a great way to start breaking in the beast (which is what I’m calling them now). Of course at the end of the day I my skin was red from the hips down to my upper thighs. But no pain, no gain. They have already comformed a bit to my body.

Here is a pic from the session. I had to stop cuffing the beast because there was a lot of dirt and old leaves accumulating in the cuff.

When it came to buttoning the pants I gave up doing it with just my hands, so I jammed in a plastic spike-thingy with no sharp edges and turned it around a couple of times in each hole. That helped somewhat, but they are still not easy to button.

Hajduk: Sure, I’m always up for beer.  🙂

Veintiuno: I’m not sure I’m going to soak them. I feel I got a headstart in breaking them in and I’m afraid a soak will ruin that.

    Wearoften: Nice!

Just got mine delivered at work. Thanks for the quick service Iron Heart  🙂

Anyways, I had to try them on right away so I snuck into the handicap toilet at work for a quick try on. And oh boy, these jeans are tough. I mean, I thought that 25 oz can't be that much stiffer than 21 oz, but I misjudged on that one. I only managed button the top button to see if they fitted me in the waist and they did. They are gonna need a lot of wear before they get comfortable. But they will become comfortable!
