IH-555-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Jeans - Indigo

Managed to get all the buttons up! Have just over a flat hand’s width in the waist. About as tight as I’d go in the knee and calve. I know I’ll get some shrink in the legs after a soak, but if what I understand about XHS to be true, the areas under “stress” will stretch back out to pre-soak? If these stretch back out to this I think I’d be spot on.

-
@indigo_nico yep you're correct. They'll stretch back out with some wear for sure
-
My pair didn’t shrink nearly as much as I expected, even when washed at 40 degrees after a hot soak with agitation.
-
Heck yes. Wearing today at work because I was too excited to wait to soak, but I’ll give them a hot soak tonight. Loving the feel of this denim right out of the gate - especially in the frozen Chicago tundra!
-
555 top block with 888 thighs would be my ideal cut I think.
-
I actually measured mine again today. Was 33.9” waist when new, then soaked and washed and worn for about a month. They are now 34.2” waist.
-
@V-P did you get any noticeable shrinkage in the thighs? if so, do you feel like they stretched back out to pre-soak? that was really my only concern. current state (pre-soak) they feel pretty perfect. i'm totally capable of some discomfort en route back to a pre-soak fit!
-
@indigo_nico. From my experience with multiple IH-25XHS the only thing that doesn't come back to pre soak measurements is any shrinkage in the length the shrinkage innthe width always came back
-
@indigo_nico Yes, they shrunk in the thighs. Not sure if they are back where they were but they are wider now than after washing.

Antenna's extended for restock news my slim jean brothers!

Thoughts appreciated. Should I get these hemmed or not? Normally I'd get them hemmed, don't like cuffs unless very tapered. I'd like the stacks at bottom but don't want them at the knees. Only 3rd day of wear. Slightly more bunched up with boots on as well.
Thanks!

@CosmoSix5 A trick with new jeans and stacks is to pull them on and then push down from the knee to the shoe/boot. It will get rid of the denim bunching up at the knee. After a few weeks the jeans will have settled to stack better from the knee down.

@goosehd done. Thanks.
