What's your favorite Type III jacket from Iron Heart?

Last year, I sold all my type III jackets in order to get some type 1 & II. I want to pick up some of the type IIIs now that it is a little colder. Recently, I got the IHJ-69 in black and the IHJ-70 in brown as well as the IH-2526J. Any other ones you all would recommend?

I am loving the IHJ 69 and 70. The whipcord Type III looks pretty awesome too and has lots of great reviews on here.
In terms of denim I own one and its the 526L version 1 and its my favorite…fabric, fit, feel are all on point. Its been a beast to break in, but well worth it!

I only own 2 IH type III’s, the 69 and my 14oz od SExIH collab. I like them both. I dig the whipcord variant too

I love the original 526J as it's an absolute classic, but wear the 526-sbg a lot and it just gets better all the time. Probably my overall favourite is the101J, though, but the 526J is so close it's almost impossible to choose.

I have an IH-533, an IH-526J-OD and an IH-2526J. The OD was my first, about four years and 13kg ago. So now it is a layering piece over hoodies and flannels. The 533 was a Marketplace score. It’s a bit of a white elephant as the sizing was odd and this is further complicated by the lining. The duck type III fits perfectly. I enjoy them all in different ways and would love to have more but «collecting» vests is enough of a financial strain so along with UHF’s and jeans I’m on a one in/one out arrangement with type III’s.
If I was going to score one I’d stick with a 21oz denim iteration. I love the soft thickness and that alone takes the classic type III design up a notch. The way the felled seams and thick creases in the elbow combs increase the three dimensional nature of the jacket is very pleasing. That being said, I think I’d want a traditional, short, pocketless version and that limits my options these days.
With all that taken into consideration the super black 101j has always been something I’ve coveted and it fits the bill (21oz, no pockets) so maybe a bit of Lee and a bit less Levi’s for me in the near future?

It seems like the 21oz is the winner here. I was thinking about getting the IH-562-V2, but I might wait. From the pictures, I just liked the darker fabric of the left hand twill. It seems like the 21oz is where it's at though.

I always like the look of the Lee type II but the practical nature of the Levi's.

Just to confuse matters the 19oz LHT is the most amazing denim when new. I’m only about 15 wears in to my pair of IH-666-19L-v2 and I have no idea how they’ll age, but new it’s really wonderful stuff and the most interesting IH denim I’ve owned, out of the bag. That being said I’d still rather have 21oz on a jacket.

Do you own 21oz OD? Curious your thoughts on 21oz. I have 17.5 oz pbj jacket and it’s not heavy. I am thinking about 21oz version but al always those are in short length and not

Ha… It can get that way. As stated, after four years at this I've reached the point where I have everything I need and a little more. I've worn out my first tee's, replaced some basics like thermals/henley's and retired two pairs of jeans. I have a few things I need to sell because of weight loss but never get around to. But I still have more shirts than I need, more jeans than I can use and an intimidating array of jackets. This is not to mention the vest collection that would keep the crew of Peaky Blinders and a medium sized motorcycle gang clothed for a year.
The problem is there are too many fine, fine things that come out. Too many core classics I don't have. And that feeling of picking up something really special and putting your hands on it for the first time is pretty great. Addicted much? Nah.. ::)

some pics.The line is IH-526J, IH_2526-J, and IH-69 (haha, 69). Thanks for the input all. And @neph93, you're the one who convinced me to the 21oz. So happy about that.
