I really do envy you for being able to sit such long sessions especially on such painful area as ribs. Was towards the stomach less painful?
I'm planning to get my stomach tattooed towards end of this year or next year

@Niro Thanks a lot. Yes, my back and the two rib pieces are by the same artist. It's hard to categorize the pain - when I was younger I did a 9 hour session on my chest, but these days it gets harder and harder. 4-5 hours is my current maximum, especially for outlines that are more painful to me as the shading & colouring.

Compared to the back I can say that the ribs and stomach hurt in pretty every spot, whereas the back has areas that feel numb to totally painful (around the kidneys and bum). It's doable, but after a few hours it's just enough.

I'm having another appointment on my thigh in a week and seriously don't want to do it
