Not sure what to do with the crotch starting to rip though.  I'm not sure if I should send them off to get darned or if I can get someone to do it locally.  I've tried darning my 3sixteen's on my own before and I didn't do the best job.

Awesome. Are you planning on wearing them for very much longer? If you are I'd get them repaired. If not just repair them yourself. I know for me that there are always too many pairs of jeans that I want to wear to keep wearing the same pair for very long. A good darning service is usually 1/4 of the cost of a brand new pair of jeans.

You can't go wrong with indigoproof. But I  think she's so busy she's not accepting new repairs. But I would check and see.

Another vote for Indigo Proof. I’ve only done hems and tapers but I saw some of the repairs when I was in a few weeks ago and they’re amazing. The pics don’t lie.

got back my pair from Anthill Workshop in Melbourne today. Real solid work! those of you in australia should give them a go for repairs.
