@SamD is 33 your usual size ? Like do you wear tag 33 usually on say 634s 21oz/14oz etc

@Damocles It varies from jean to jean, but I'm usually between a 33 and 34. The 18oz and 21oz denim tend to have a bit more give than some other fabrics, so my jeans in those fabrics are tag 33. For tighter woven fabrics like the 17oz duck I'm usually a 34, and I think that was also the case when I tried on a pair from the recent run of 14oz denim. Unfortunately, it's never an exact science!

@Davids_denim hi, thank you very much. I was wearing them for nearly a year 3-4 times a week I think. Took a break from them, but now they are back in totation:) Iˋll be washing them more often now to even out the fades hopefully.
I see from your pics that you like the contrasts. Your fades are really amazing

@Davids_denim Iˋm in a dilemma since I donˋt want the very high contrast fades, but I also think that the denim is at itˋs best and most confortable when they have been worn for a long time between washes.

Man I just gotta say these are remarkably comfortable for 18oz. Feels much lighter in weight too.

How much stretch are you guys getting in the waist, measured flat, after washing and wearing them for a while?
My ideal waist measurement is exactly 45.5 cm (18") once the jeans are fully stretched out, using Iron Heart’s measuring method.
I’m guessing size 33 would be ideal after stretching? But I do like some roominess through the rest of the fit, so I’m really torn between the two..

@EastClintwood I think you've messed up your measurements somewhere, a 18" (36) is 91.44
Most Iron Heart denim will stretch about an inch with wear, then shrink a little and stretch back out after a wash

@Jord I meant 18” measured flat, so about 36” (91.4 cm) total circumference. Sorry for the confusion.
And thanks for the info on the stretch.
