A really cool Cat and blog reader of mine gifted me these MP toes just out of the blue.  He recommended I swap out the factory buckles and so I did just that with my custom roller buckles.

Yeah, the gentleman wore 'em just enough for nice wear and tear to develop.  They're the smooth leather.  Contemplating having the Okuyama sole treatment, but kinda like them as-is.

I'm sending my Boss boots back to WESCO to have the toes stretched to make them a bit higher, the MP toe box is just too tight on my big toes when I wear the boots with the insoles from WESCO. They fit fine when I wear them without insoles. So sending them back for stretching, hopefully that will do the trick.

Inspired by Davito's recent pics of his Lone Wolf engineers, I just ordered a custom pair of brown roughout Boss boots.

Specs:

All brown roughout
10" height
unlined
standard Boss toe (soft toe box)
single midsole with natural edges
Vibram 430 sole
standard heel height
instep straps 2" longer
custom roller buckles (from VEB)

With the $50 discount these were pretty reasonable. Now I just have to wait 4 months to get 'em.  :-\

Oh shit. I've not seen a pair of semi-lace to toe or roughout boots that have really done it for me but those are inspiring…almost everything about that pair works for me. I would only want them cut a little taller, maybe 7-8"
