Oh well then don't worry about it Doug. I am just jealous that I don't have it. Just post some detail teasers whenever you get a minute. Safe travels!

                  Goddamnit

I threw my jacket in the washing machine the other day, and somehow got some really ugly fades from the machine now. The left half of the jacket has all these crazy fades all over it and the right side is normal

                  Fuck, this thing is ruined

doug that's awful, wtf are you gonna do or can you do?  I wonder if you wash it a couple more times if the fades will even out?  Damn that sucks!

How about dyeing it? I had some good results recently with a shirt and a hoodie. Its 100% cotton so the dye would take well.

Not sure what I'm going to do with it. The fades are pretty sharp, I'm pretty sure they're not going to even out. I might just toss it or give it away. I'll take pics later but its a real shame. Was one of my favorite jackets

Doug, I'm sorry Man. You know, I read something on SuFu – the same thing happened with a pair of those SEXT11 Tan Jungle Pants. I was jones-ing for those til I read what they turned out like after a wash/dry. They were hideous apparently...wrinkled as fuck and faded in all the wrong places.

I don't do dry clean. I'm too busy for that shit. If something needs dry-clean, I won't buy it.  Hence, if something needs hand-washing it, I won't buy it either.

I'm sorry this happened to you, DougNg.

                          Shubha

Good tip though: I'll never (machine)wash my pair!..  😉

Doug, if you toss it I will take it off your hands for sure!!! Washing Machine = DEATH!

Also, Doug: did your jacket stretch (a lot/ at all)?.. Cause mine's perfect as it is, and I wanna keep it that way without having to hotsoak it in a couple of weeks/ months…

Yeah, the whole reason why I decided to machine wash it was 1. it was getting grody and 2. it does stretch after awhile. Now that I know, I would just cold soak it after awhile

Anybody got any recommendations how to overdye it? Since it's looking kinda weird now, I might just try that

I've thrown plenty of denim in my washing machine, my 634SRs had a couple of weird fades after the machine but it was nothing major like this

Maybe it's because of the stretch!.. Like: it sets creases and fades in the beginning when it's really tight, then it stretches and the fading patrons change and move over a bit…

No experience with overdying items, hope someone can help you out though!..

It's not because of the stretch. It's only on the left side of the jacket. The right side looks fine
