Do any of the Board members from Germany have any opinions on the price of Viberg's from volls.de? Are they just as expensive if you buy them on-site, or is it just the cost of shipping included in the online price that is pushing the price up so much?

^ gotta ask Klaus for the answer mate!

on the other hand, if you want viberg, you have to pay viberg. pretty simple imo!
and o/course since the shop (volls) does live from selling things, it's damn sure that they can't sell for the same as viberg.com does, no!?

Ref the prior comments, I'm surprised Viberg don't just sell their own product in full. Cut out all the middle men and expand there selection. I guess that way 100% profit is for them. Not that I'm a businessman, but at least you know there is only one place to go to get them. Morgan might need some extra help on the shipping tip though..

It's different biz model is all. Why do vendors use distributors at all when the vendor is well known to begin with?

Empowering distributors gets boots infront of more people real world, also allows them to be seen with a range of other products that go well together. The distributors/retailers selling get the profit as a result, so the market grows with +1 boot real-world as far as Viberg are concerned. Summary; they likely sell more boots by keeping distributors in the mix..

Agree.  But finding the sweet spot is hard.  I guess if it was easy everybody would do it.

I guess in the end its all about money really. I totally understand what your saying though Wade, just funny they bring out a model and it's gone in weeks. Perhaps the work/exposure part of what you are saying is now done, but they are flat out keeping up it seems. If it was all back in BC  maybe they could focus on themselves a little more. Hahaa, plus myself being totally selfish, I hate having to look at all the places they are selling to see what's in stock, being made etc etc.. A man could get clicketty click square eyed disease or something for goodness sake!! Hahaa!

I've never been one to support mass consumerism I guess… on the other hand I believe they are not going to drop the bar because of demand.. Hahaa! Prob raise the bar on price!

Anyway.. Just a little crazy ol hermits (who likes good worldly things still) view. Leather up Bagawans!!

I LOVE my two pairs of vibergs and I think for the most part what they do is unparalleled by their competition. But they just continue to make it harder and harder for some people to get there products. I get that 12.5 is not a common size. Ill shut up now

hey Nate… if you want a make up that is currently available on their site and there are none in your size, just contact them and they can make it for you in your size as long as they have the materials and it doesn't stray from the build.

Wow, that's nice to know.  I thought once those boots were gone, they're gone unless THEY decide to make more.

I haven't done it myself, but here is a post guy made about a week ago over at SF:

While MTO is no longer an option we will produce a boot that is currently listed on viberg.com to spec in an unavailable size as long as we have the materials. We've already been doing this for customers actually. As long as none of the details stray from the build on the site then we'll go ahead and make it for the exact same price.
