Indigoproof did a fantastic job hemming my 714s. Rain matched the original chain stitch perfectly.  It took exactly 8 days to mail in and get them back. I'm 100 percent satisfied.

Wanted to revive this thread and ask for recommendations for hemming and chainstitch. I’m in the Midwest and have a few pair of pants and a couple pair of jeans I’d like to have hemmed. Thanks for any info!

Sorry @SKT just seeing this. My current vote goes to Williamsburg Garment Co. They don't have a srazy wait-list and will work on unwashed stuff for a fee. https://williamsburggarment.com/custom-made-jeans/shop/alterations/

@Filthy Man I’m so glad to hear that’s who you would recommend because I sent them some stuff a little bit after posting my initial question.  I had them chainstitch some 666S-21’s and IHDR-502’s and they shipped them back to me yesterday. Should have them by the end of the week and I’ll report back. Puts my mind at ease knowing you’ve had a good experience with them.

Had a great experience with Williamsburg Garment in Brooklyn, NY.  Price, speed, communication all excellent and the work done was superb. Recommended.

They use a Union Special 43200 G for chainstitching and they do really good job (for repairs also). They also have they own denim brand. They definitely worth a look if you are around !

Super solid one man operation. Dude has an insane collection of vintage singers, union specials, and so much more. He has a mail in service. He did my XHS ibs for $40. Lighter weights are a bit cheaper I believe.
If you live in the Denver area he will do a “while you wait” chain stitch hem as well as shoot the breeze about all things denim!
