It is a hefty premium and you always have to wonder who the cobbler was and if they knew what they were doing.

Yeah, I guess it's sort of a Russian Speedmaster; it's a commemorative for the 40th anniversary for Yuri Gagarin's space flight. I've had it for several years and it was dead stock when I bought it.
And you're right, Ane- 3133 movement. Well, technically, it's the 31681, but that's just the 3133 with a subdial for 24 hour indication, which I'm sure you knew…

Nice Mega, is the lume nice and bright?
Not massively, apparently that is a flaw with the Mako XL's (read this after purchasing).

Nah, it's legible which is all I wanted really. It's a nice, chunky, reliable watch for little cash. I am happy.
