Thanks, he is much better and in care at home with our son. He still is a bit weak, walks are short but eats, no vomiting and over all in a much better condition

Yep, nevertheless how bad he felt, he always emptied his bowl (ok sometimes with the help of a little Dachshund if we forgot to watch). If that dog once stops eating we know things are getting really serious.
