Hoping to have these chopped early next week

I just bought a pair and am hoping to fade them quite a bit before wearing them

any suggestions on best ways to do this? warm water wash and air dry?

Giles, any faded pics of these available or are they too new? esp. compared to the older 811's

Lots of gentle wases, first couple inside out, then right side, check out progress between each wash. No faded pics that I know of.  This tho, is the same wabash….

NorCal_1 I've kept this pic of a pair of IH-811 that were given an extreme hard wash or call it predistressed even, not the same wabash as the 814 but still …

ordered them Monday, received in California from the UK on Wednesday - so impressed 

perfect fit, great quality, in love

p.s. I wonder if anyone who liked the 811's more antique finish from the brown overdye would consider tea-dyeing

if anyone has any spare scraps of wabash fabric kicking around, it might be interesting to see what would happen to them tea-dyed.  Maybe a step too far, but interesting to consider

Lol I knew that was coming. I am actually having my left over material made into shorts for my 4 year old. My taylor is putting together a pattern hopefully there is enough material.

slightly OT - I started a thread in the General Chat section to drum up interest for IH to produce BROWN Wabash for use in vests, pants and shirts, etc

nobody does it, but it could be great looking and a coup for IH to be one of the first

You can't go wrong with the 814's just upsize one. I'm also going to chop a pair of the new brown cotton work pants when the come out.

They don't, they just look better roomier…..

They don't shrink at all. Washed mine several times. They are just starting to get some evo. Ill post some photos in the next week. They definitely don't fade as fast as the 811's.

Had a pair of old jeans turned into "insert bell-bottoms" With some of my 811 scraps.. As per Lindsay's request.. ::)

I washed mine 8 times in hot water w/ detergent, and after seeing no change, did it several times in boiling water trying to get them to fade and so far there's been very, very little fade

I even added  a little bleach to the boiling water experiments, and left them submerged for literally hours, making sure to keep the water super hot

almost no change whatsoever

anyone else have the same experience???
