@Heavy_blue I don't know. I'm so torn apart between this and its Olive version. I cant make up my mind, and the main reason is that those are not the jackets that can be machine washed. What do You all think, what color will be more future proof as the wear and inevitable dirt accumulates?

@Karol You'll be fine with either oiled one, they're both pretty dark. You can wipe them down with a damp cloth if needed

What is up with that sleeve length?? They made the chest a bit smaller but added an inch to the sleeve when it was already pretty long.

one more question that is on my mind is regarding the care.
In the product description it's stated that it can be ironed gently to renew waterproofing, and I see how that can be of significant help in 2-5 years. But how to reapply the coating in 5-10 years? Where to get this stuff (urethane/paraffin mix) from?

@Karol Hi, I hope you don’t mind me having a go at answering your question? I’m guessing the paraffin coating that IH use is rather different but I’ve re-waterproofed a few wax cotton Barbour and Belstaff jackets in the past and I’m guessing the process for re-applying a coating a few years down the line would be roughly the same? @AdamJ

I started by letting the tin of Barbour wax sit in a bowl of warm water for ten minutes or so to warm it up and turn it into a liquid. Then apply it to the clean jacket with a soft cloth, taking extra time to apply more in the seams, high wear areas and any extra dry areas where the coating has worn the most. Then use a hairdryer to run any excess wax into the seams etc.. leave to dry a day or two then repeat if needed. I hope that helps!

It is ~815km to the arctic circle from Stockholm and I declare UHF season open with recent temperature of 1C ~ 34F. Im ready for this jacket from the middle of the week 😃

@DeeDee85 I was thinking along the same lines.
With my old barber the process I followed was exactly like the one You been describing. I also coated an old cotton jacket with mix of parafin oil and wax (30/70), but it’s the urethane/paraffin mix I can’t find any info about.

@Karol I would expect any similar substance would work just fine, similar to how @DeeDee85 explained the process for a Barbour jacket.

I have the latest size S in 190z left hand twill type 3 which fits perfectly. Would a size S in this jacket be suitable too? I know to check the measurements but not sure what to account for when considering this has a thick lining.
