I cant stand "casual" fans. Only wanna show up when "GSP is fighting??? Can i come over and watch too?" I know that the UFC makes money off them as well but they are always sooooo opiniated about one fighter that they barely know. Annoying lol
        Sry that was kinda ranty

Browne looked awesome once again, guy is a beast. Uriah has a ton of talent and i feel confident that the more relaxed he gets in the octagon the better he will show. Tate fought well but Rousey is an animal man. Bitch hates losing and fights like that. Not a fan of her sportswomanship tho

I'm hoping to see Browne vs Werdum cause Cain is on the shelf for awhile

Apparently Ronda is headlining 170 already. Dana trying to milk her before she retires too

That break was tough to watch. It looked like it was going to be a good fight too.

I know it.  I suffered a similar tib/fib fracture playing ice hockey as a teenager.  Took me 5 surgeries over a 5 year period to mostly recover.  I felt sick to my stomach the second it happened.

i assume they took the rod and screws out hence so many surgeries?

Yep, I had two different sets rods and screws.  I managed to break the first titanium rod inside my tibia which caused another stress fracture.  They installed a second titanium rod and screws.  The original fracture healed but the stress fracture refused to heal.  I ended up with a halo on my lower leg which I wore for 5 months.  They also had to do a bone graft from my hip when I had the halo put on.  My final surgery was having a plate and 8 screws installed which I still have to this day.  Overall, it was not a fun experience at all…

To each their own, but it is pretty strategic. You can't be a master of all skills so it's an interesting mix of endurance, speed and strength.

I think they do a pretty good job of stopping fights before serious injury is inflicted.

I prefer to watch the striking as I enjoy Muay Thai (kick boxing) as a hobby, but I can respect and enjoy the tactics of the ground game of submissions.

i love stand up fighting, coming from a muay thai back ground. so interesting. however my ocd gets a bit much when someone isnt using proper technique 🙂
however when you have two AGRESSIVE high level bjj guys attacking submissions and rolling and sweeping, thats amazing too. just dont get to see enough of it. like when frank mir and big nog hit the ground, the transitions, sweeps and escapes that happend in that brief 30 seconds or so before big nogs arm snapped was amazing
maybe having some background in these areas makes it more interesting then just "two men punching and kicking the hell out of each other in a cage for sport"
but on that note harley dave you seem like a nice enough dude and that post is kinda offensive and silly to make in a thread about mixed martial arts. we understand youre not interested in it. but that doesnt make it cool to make a post bashing a sport that those few of us that post in here are passionate about
and im not trying to attack you with this post just stating the obvious

im not attacking it just saying i dont get .

really hope we see Anthony Johnson back in the ufc , he has been looking great in wsof but there isnt really any more match ups that are competitive ….. with the exception of Tyrone Spong but i cant see that happening

cant wait to see Spong fight again , his last fight against Nathan Corbett in glory was great
