just busting your chops Serpent of old. don't know about size advice from seul as he likes his clothes pretty fitted (sure you knew that already). riff should be good money as he is pretty reserved when it comes to sizing advice in general. i don't have a pair of these, but i do have a pair of 9301s & will say the denim is super laser awesome

I think you can count on an inch of stretch at least but more than an inch and a half may be pushing it. These don't seem to stretch as much as regular 634s and with a zip fly it might be hard to get them buttoned.

might be the best choice. if they were button fly you could sorta work into getting the top button and stretch the waist as you go, but with a zip fly its pretty much all or nothing right away.

I'm confused

they state that it is 37.6 inches in the waist that is actually a bit larger than the 38 IH-9634Z, I think I'll just go with the 38 and live with a bit baggyness if they are too large.

I bought mine true to size and you can check the pictures I posted. They're a regular straight fit. Definitely not baggy, but not slim either. Waist was perfect for me, didn't need any stretching tbh. Could've gone with a size 31 probably but couldn't be bothered plus they don't stretch as easily as 634S'es (which I did buy in size 31, one size down).

D97x7 with physical proof! Looks like it can be done. if you want a slimmer silhouette then size down and stretch, if you want a straight fit then go with the 38.

I think it is just personal preferance. Personally I only cuff selvage jeans cause of the selvage and the clean cut look. It is annoying to see non-selvage jeans cuffed, but I gave up caring a while ago. Just a pet peeve of mine, but do as you wish.

it doesn't matter cuffing is an issue of utilitarianism. it depends on the shoe and situation. i have jeans that i have to cuff with a pair of boots, but with a pair of vans or chucks they don't sit the same way. if i'm working outdoors and it gets hot out….i'm gonna cuff my jeans. though i personally like selvedge denim because i respect the craftsmanship involved i think purposely trying to show it off is just snobby. i like well made things that look good and are utilitarian, but i dont care about fashion and thats what this argument seems to be about.
however...... this thread is about the 9634z and how much we love it so we should probably continue this discussion somewhere else.
0.5" too long, with hemming! (I never learned how to roll/cuff, so I'll go with the correct lenght
