Brilliant, Katsushin, thank you for giving the coasters such a meaningful existence - love all the pix (especially the little Audubon birdies!)

Anyone else remember in the 80s, when those painter caps with the neck flaps were popular?

So as some of you know I live in Northern California.  Humboldt County to be specific.
If you've ever heard of Humboldt, it is probably because of one of two reasons…
We are home to the tallest trees in the world (old growth redwoods), and the finest high end marijuana production in the world.
In the past I've noticed a few of you like to throw out the ganja shots with the coasters.
Here is my regional version of that concept...

I'm not involved in this industry myself, but I do like living in a small community that supports itself through counter culture ideals.
Next time I'm on a hike I'll throw in the redwood shots…
Not trying to overly glorify anything, just saying this is the reality of the area.

Keep up the green, I mean good work  😉 😉

Not a real whiskey aficionado, but this I really do enjoy.  Yamazaki 18 year  (the nicer stuff from Suntory, the famous Japanese whiskey makers…)

(It's called tamago, like a sweet egg omelete.  Many Japanese sushi chefs say that you can truly judge the skill of a sushi chef by the quality of his tamago.)

I've seen New Yorkers scoff at how our little local bagel shop does things over here on the left coast (I've even heard the term sacrilege thrown around)…

Hummus, carrots, olives and chives on whole wheat.
And a "real" bagel would dwarf these coaters…

I know the cell phone pics aren't the best, but for this tour I'm going for quantity, and this Tapatalk deal makes it quite a bit easier…
