@Dmart great sounding pipes.  @atm23 Love the monkey and have been dying to try one.  The local dealer sells them faster than they can bring them in and the waiting list is long.

Thanks and yeah I never had the chance to ride a monkey either. They must be so much fun.

@Dmart thats mine. @goosehd as silly as they look, it always brings a smile to my face every time I ride. I love being able to hit the trails as well and fit through small spaces.

@atm23 Not silly at all, and have contemplated getting one.  They look like tons of fun…I have a Yamaha PW50 for my girls to ride, and honestly it’s the most fun I have on a motorcycle.

How are they to ride?  Anything you don’t like about it?

@goosehd Ive had mine for about a year. Got about 5000 miles on it. It rides great considering I'm 6'3"-4". I was worried it would be uncomfortable but the riding position is excellent even being tall. I do have a few quarrels about it stock though. But now its great, not to mention it gets 120-135 mpg.

-The stock rear suspension is too squishy, I upgraded the shocks
-The stock exhaust is too quiet, drivers couldn't hear me
-The stock mirrors are useless, all you can see is your shoulder
-I wish it had a little bit more power 150-200cc (you can big bore it), just to get better overtaking and the top speed a little higher

                  • 1st gear is really short

other than that, its a blast. I'm really glad its my first bike. Its a little machine blast!

Furthermore, I've heard people having trouble getting (as well as test riding) them from the Reddit group, but I would always recommend riding one before buying.

I wouldn’t mess with the power if you’re getting that kind of gas mileage. I may end up getting one if I get the chance to ride one.

Thanks for the info and sharing!

I’m sure they are fun. I wouldn’t care about the power either. I have the big bikes if needed, but for fun quick rides through the town, I think they are great. Another option would be a small scrambler where you can hit some dirt roads.

I bought parts for the better part of a year after getting the bike. Lots of kustom tech, fork co, morad style rims 18”and 21”, updated to electric ignition, added a cycle electric alternator, S&S carb, kickstarter added, bates seat and pillion from bates leathers, and also an emd finned primary that I have about 30 hours sanding and polishing into it. Zack at roll on cycle did all the work, his work is amazing. His custom bikes are really nice.
