Fit is almost the same if you downsize on the SEXIH07 though…

So the indigo is raw, unsanforized. Would one have to soak them initially, then, to prevent damaging the denim (similar to the 634SR)?

          Yup

Also, if you don't soak them, the fit is completely off, they shrink and skew A LOT

            Yeah, makes sense.

To clarify, you mean they shrink as expected for raw denim, and they skew a lot, or are you saying they shrink a lot and skew a lot.

Per Kiya, they shrink in the waist pretty much down to tag size.

Ask cause I picked these up at a size 28, I have the annie's in a 29, SE's measurements are the same at the waist for both of these, but that 28 number makes me a little nervous. Of course once I soak them, they're mine…

Perhaps I'll try to post some raw fit pics once I get them... I suppose as long as I can get them buttoned, they'll be good, right?

I wear the same in both models. When I got them kiya recommended that I needed a 31, but I think they wouldve stretched out too much in the waist. My true waist is around a 30.5. After the initial soak I wore them damp with the top button undone for a few hours then I could button them. Same after the first wash. But after the second wash they were fine.

If you can stand a little pain for a few hours, should be good. I did a 45 minute warm soak.

These aren't recent pictures.. but here are some updated pics at the 8 month mark. (12-13-10)

                    sexih07bk 8 month update - 2 handwashes

The hole thats starting to form on the right knee is due to knee sliding across cement at 30mph on my motorcycle(wasnt intentional).. Now I'm a true believer of heavy weight denim.. without my IHs I would have road rash right now!!

Also if I told you guys I'm contemplating on running an ultra marathon (50k/31 miles) in my SEXIH07BK.. would you think I'm crazy?! haha

21oz denim get's REALLY heavy when it's wet. I got caught in a rain storm in Puerto Rico and I felt like I was twice as heavy

I'd think you'd have to worry about some serious chafing. (Not really joking.) Have you run any significant distance in them?

Not yet. I'm definitely going to go for a 10-15 miler in them first before I make my decision.. as for chafing I'll be wearing long compression pants.
Still thinking though.. not sure what I want to do yet. Only reason I'm even considering it is because this is my last ultra-marathon for awhile and I'll be packing beer and drinking every 3 miles.. so time is not a issue.. just trying to have some fun. 🙂

Thanks.  The only thing that is really evoing in a noticeable way at the moment!  Everything looked a bit better after a wash.

Is there any practical difference in the weight of the denim on these (the non-OD's specifically) compared to the usual 21 oz. IH denim or the SR denim?

I have a pair of these brand new. I wear my 634sr all the time which are only lightly worn by IH standards (about 6 months), I can't justify starting on these new jeans, unless they were going to be easier to wear vs. the SR denim as the weather warms up.

Anyone with experience can compare? Seul? LOTD?
