i'm pretty sure the transmission is the DSG that's the same in most vw.. which is technically their version of pdk. but pdk is in another level of it's own of double clutch

Both a PDK and a DSG are electro-mechanical double clutch systems, but from different manufacturers.

Yes, the S-Tronic was called DSG till 2005. The PDK in the new Macan is altough a DSG by VW since they now own Porsche. The PDK in the other Porsche Models are made by ZF a German Manufacturer.

Interestingly this can play to our advantage in maintenance terms as many of the exact same interchangeable parts are cheaper from a Seat or Skoda dealer, than from a VW or Audi dealer.

I’d consider a tune some day, if I could get Darci to go along with it. My car is an automatic, I haven’t driven a stick since my WRX. I miss the car but not a clutch in rush hour. The GTI is a good balance for us. Good family car and a lot of fun.

I managed to sneak a few major upgrades past my wife. Had the following installed last week on my BMW: intercooler, cold air intake, charge pipes, downpipe, muffler, JB4 tune.

Luckily, she just thinks I did the muffler and tune

I can only imagine. I almost snagged a 135 coupe a few months ago for autocross, but could never find ones that matched my req. seems like you found a true gem for sure!

^ i've been so tempted to get an m135 hatch (non LCI) 2011-13 recently. the prices for them are decent. and there's are whole world out there. i've seen a couple of guys in the uk tuning them to about 400-600hp range, including meth injected..

Those 135’s are great!  I was tempted by a few 135is but finding one with a 6 speed manual is tough and they’ve held their value incredibly well. The N54 engine with twin turbos has tons of tuning potential!

Yeah, that was the problem. People with a coupe, manual with no wrecks and no tune know what they have. Great autocross car tho, and the engine is amazing

Sadly, my dreams of a third car are probably crushed as we are about to go sell our souls to the devil in about 45 minutes lol [emoji23]

A close friend and I knocked out this project last week.  His wife was in a minor wreck so we took the opportunity to make  a few upgrades.  He's getting a lift, tires and roof rack for it in the coming weeks.  He's in the bottom pic wearing some IH9634's I hooked him up with.
