Luminor GMT with Gaurded goods Reverse Shell Cordovan strap. I’m disappointed with the quality of the strap.

^ your 88 deserves better.
I know Greg (for full disclosure) and am a fan of his straps https://www.gregstevensdesign.com/watch-straps.html

As far as I'm concerned, the most interesting movements to look at are manual wind chronographs. No recommendations on skeletonized watches, but a Speedmaster Professional with a display back is in that range.
Or you could get something like this for about 10% of that.

The Nomos Neomatik watches have a nice movement, and come into the price range.
The Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control Date with the sexy sector dial comes in at $5700. Its movement is neatly decorated.
The Omega Seamaster Aqua-Terra is $5500, and has an attractive, albeit industrial, movement.

I’m considering parting with several and maybe getting something really special.
What are you considering getting instead? Something like a Patek or a Lange?

It is a fantastic looking watch.

As someone who's never looked very carefully at watch prices, I am surprised to see how much pre-owned watches are discounted. At Topper, there's a Nomos Lambda wg, 95% condition from Sep '16, for sale at $11k, which is a sharp drop from the $20k MSRP (not sure what is the true retail price).

Panerai brought out a 38mm Luminor Due, and Monochrome are quite excited by it.
There's speculation in the Monochrome article that the new movement used in the watch could be a variant of the Baume and Mercier Baumatic calibre. However, that has got a five day power reserve, versus three days for the Panerai, so it might be a watered down version!
Incidentally the Baumatic is a relatively cheap watch with a pretty movement, as @JDelage was looking for.
If it is the same calibre, it'd fix some of the accuracy issues that have been reported in Panerais. The B&M is a COSC certified chronometer, and also highly antimagnetic.

@Sheepdog149 what kind of watch are you wearing?
maybe I shouldn't be asking since this is the watches thread and not the budget watches thread
or just goggle image search, but this is more fun ???

Hi there, it's a "Typhoon," made by Dagaz, Watchmaker. I swapped the bracelet for a thick (5mm) German mesh bracelet. Thanks for asking.
