Anybody ever have (or see) a pair of indy's resoled with a double leather sole? I think it would look pretty good, but I'd like to see a pair before I give it a try.

I've seen some good Indy resoles on Brian the Bootmaker's (aka Role Club) IG feed, not sure that any were double sole, but I'm pretty sure that he'd tackle it.

I have 9 pairs right now and a preorder currently going on a 10th (Plaza color 8 shell whole cut bal)
Back, L-R: Aberdeen Color 8 Shell Tankers @ 1.5 years old, Trubalance Natural CXL Tankers @ 1 year old, Barrie black shell cap toe @ 3 years old, Barrie navy CXL long wing @ 6 months old, Barrie Tobacco calf plain toe boots @ 5 years old, Trubalance color 8 shell plain toe boots @ 1.5 years old.
Front, L-R: Trubalance Cigar Shell Indy @ almost brand new, Barrie Whiskey Shell plain toe bluchers @ 1.5 years old, Barrie Color 4 shell shortwing boots new to me @ 1 year ago, but a few years older than that.
It took me years to get a new pair of cigar shell at retail price. I didn't even bother to wait for color 4 and just bought a used pair that I liked. Surprisingly, my old plain toes have been possibly the favorite lately since they're so damn comfortable, especially after a resole by Brian Truong.

Haha. Sorry, my Aldens are all 10D, 10E, or 10.5D, depending on the last, and I have no intention of parting with any of them.
I will say to keep an eye out for stockings at 14 oz Berlin. That's where I got the whiskey bluchers. Especially if you ever wear E in a half size down, you might occasionally find stuff there without having to preorder. The cigars came from trying to get on a preorder list for years. Lol. If you want any of those, you most likely just have to pay a lot on eBay or something. Haha. -
^ yeah i have been searching for many years. my grail piece is still the colour 8 tanker they did with leffot so far. i'd really kill for a whiskey or cigar pair. kinda desperate that i don't really care which model except for LHS. almost willing to accept anything from PTB to NST and anything in between.. if you don't mind messaging, which pre order lists have you been on?

call the shoemart and put a deposit down for cigar indys. it might be 3 years but you will get the call eventually.

I mostly buy from Brick and Mortar. I've done 5 preorders from them now, including the one I'm waiting on. That includes cigar, 2 color 8s, natty tankers, and LWBs.

yes she provides unbelievable service. i purchased my reverse chamois boots form her. i had a problem with the stitching on the commando sole and she immediately had them fixed for me.

yeah. i've made the first step by being on their factory seconds lists, trying to be hopeful since most people on styleforum say they get lucky occasionally.

i think iirc my very first pair of cordovan indys were bought from them. i could be wrong though, it was about over 5 years ago.
*okay maybe not. they've just opened in 2015.
