That Marlowe looks fantastic! I don't think it'd be legal here in the UK though (for EDC that is).

Yeah, I've heard that locking folders are illegal to carry in the UK. Plus that Marlowe has a 4" blade, so if you guys have a length limit, it is probably over that as well.

And you really can't compare the patina formed on carbon steel to the scratches formed on stainless…one is a reflection of a lot of use...the other is just...scratches...but that's just my opinion
LOL, you can get a tactical folder made with a carbon steel blade if you really want that patina, but then the knife would be harder to clean, and I'd be worried about it rusting around the pivot area where I can't reach the blade to clean it.

I think there's a couple tactical folders with carbon steel…Sniper Bladeworks comes to mind...but personally, for a tactical folder I would want stainless or something very close to stainless like D2 or CPM 3V
Tactical knives are just...no muss, no fuss, and does what you need it to do
But there's a certain charm for me in traditionals

Yeah, it's a matter of personal taste. I like traditionals for fun, but I find tacticals to be a lot more user-friendly and versatile.

I'm pretty sure it's some cheap steel, like 420…the knife only cost $20
But the design is brilliant and it's really not a regular usage knife, more for like those times that I don't have a knife handy and I just need to cut something
I was going to recommend the same dagger. You really can't go wrong with Zero Tolerance
