since looking through this thread properly i was kind of put off with alden from reading giles' experience and their lack of customer care, but that blog really revs you up on to them! some great pics and shoes. the leathers look gorgeous.
i cant believe though how expensive the basic versions are from even a couple of years ago.

hi guys,
just a sizing question please. i am a uk 8 and from what i understand is that you translate that in us sizing then size down .5 for the trubalance last. i always thought a uk 8 was a us 9, therefore i would need an 8.5 in the indy. however, i have looked at quite a few size conversion charts and they all seem to say different things, so now i am doubting what to get.
can anyone shed any light on this for me please as i would rather not have to return any items due to incorrect sizing.

half a size down from clarks…if ur uk8 in clarks - us9 - = us8.5 alden
